摘要： A dosage dispensing cap and container assembly and method of use are disclosed. The assembly includes a container defining an opening that leads to an interior space. A cap is removably affixed over the opening and defines a channel that leads to the interior space. The cap includes a puncturing structure positioned at a bottom region of the channel. A plunger is slidably disposed within the channel and includes a sleeve portion and a dosage product housed within the sleeve portion. The plunger slides within the channel between a first position in which the plunger is located in an upper region of the channel, and a second position in which the plunger is located in a lower region of the channel and the dosage product contacts the puncturing structure.

摘要： A tablet dispenser for dispensing randomly stored tablets from a bottle is disclosed. The dispenser includes offset inlet and outlet paths, a helical dispensing screw, and a rotation drive. The inlet path can be positioned for receiving a tablet to be dispensed from a bottle or other supply of tablets. The outlet path can be positioned for dispensing a tablet. The helical dispensing screw can be configured to rotate, driven by the rotation drive, to transport a tablet from the inlet path to the outlet path. The rotation drive can be operable by pushing the structure defining the inlet path and the outlet portion toward each other. The dispenser can be equipped with a dispensing sensor and memory that records data regarding each pill dispensed, such as the time of dispensing and the number of pills remaining, and optionally transmits the data to a device on or off the patient's premises.

摘要： A bulk dispenser (10) for dispensing pre-cut pieces of film is disclosed. In one embodiment, the dispenser includes a container body (12), a dispenser housing assembly (52) housed within the container body, arid a lid (14) which forms a moisture-tight seal with the container body. The dispenser housing assembly includes a product reservoir, a dispenser housing in engagement with the product reservoir, and a flexible indexing arm that is movable relative to the dispenser housing to dispense the pre-cut pieces of film. The pre-cut pieces of film can be encapsulated within a perforated continuous carrier (30) and contained within the product reservoir. The flexible indexing arm has features that cooperate with the continuous carrier to index the continuous carrier and dispense an individual pre-cut film piece. In an alternative embodiment, the dispenser employs a suction cup (150) in the container lid which is forced onto a film piece in a stack of film pieces to be dispensed. The vacuum that is generated by the suction cup causes the film piece to be securely attached to the suction cup so that, when the container lid is opened, a single film piece is lifted from the stack of film pieces.

The barrel also can have a front passage (44) molded around and in fluid-sealing contact with the outside surface of the needle. A method of making such a syringe is also disclosed. A mold (80) for making the barrel defines a front opening of the barrel to be molded around and in fluid-sealing contact with the outside surface of the needle. The needle is positioned within the mold cavity, with its base abutting the core. The barrel is molded against the needle to join the barrel and the needle.
