摘要： Disclosed are methods and apparatus enabling the efficient utilization of urea for purposes such as selective catalytic reduction (SCR) of NOx, which enable feeding urea to a chamber designed to efficiently and completely gasify the urea to enable ammonia feed. Preferably, aqueous urea is fed to a gasification chamber, which is also fed with heated gases. An injector means, capable of distributing the aqueous urea as fine droplets, is positioned centrally of a gas distribution plate in the chamber. An arrangement of spaced holes in the gas distribution plate provides higher gas velocity in the vicinity of the injector means than near the walls of the chamber. Uniform gas distribution without equipment fouling is achieved.

摘要： To provide a low price industrial salt by reducing facility and operation costs without electro-deposition and crystallization and through reduction in quantity of chemicals used. An industrial salt S obtained by the steps of: extracting a part of combustion gas from a kiln exhaust gas passage running from an inlet end 12b of a cement kiln 12 to a bottom cyclone 13; recovering dust D from the extracted gas G2 and washing recovered dust; and drying a filtrate L1 after the washing in a gas stream. The industrial salt can be obtained by removing a calcium component from the filtrate and drying the filtrate from which the calcium component is removed in a gas stream. Further, from the filtrate can be removed sulfate radical, and drying the filtrate from which the calcium component is removed in a gas stream to obtain the industrial salt. For the drying can be used an exhaust gas discharged from a clinker cooler 12a and a spray drier 43 may be used for the drying. Drying in a stream provides industrial salt whose particle size is larger or equal to 20 μm and smaller or equal to 500 μm.

摘要： The object of the invention is a method for dissolving carbon dioxide from flue or other gas and for the neutralization of the solution obtained. The gas, in which the partial pressure of carbon dioxide is at least 0.4 bar, is led to a dissolution process, where the major part of the carbon dioxide is dissolved into a flow of water. The aqueous solution of carbon dioxide thus obtained is neutralized by passing it through a material containing feldspar minerals, at which time the hydrogen ions of said solution are replaced by ions of alkali or alkaline earth metals, and the aluminum in said material is converted into aluminum compounds that can be separated and utilized.

摘要： A method for removing contaminants from a gas stream by feeding the gas stream into a scrubber that can use seawater as the scrubbing medium. The gas stream is first scrubbed with the seawater and then mixed with ozone to remove the contaminants. Nitrogen oxides that are present in the gas stream are converted to nitric acid/nitrates and these are recovered via condensate or coalesced mist for neutralization. The treated gas stream is then exhausted to the atmosphere.

The latching element is connected to the first housing part by a moveable connection with a predetermined breaking point and is pivotable by the movable connection into the closed state. The latching element has two positioning elements and the housing parts have counter positioning elements. In the closed state, the counter positioning elements are axially arranged between the two positioning elements and the positioning elements form a stop for the counter positioning elements. The latching element has an element locking section locking at a housing locking section on the first or second housing part. The predetermined breaking point is subjected to mechanical stress such that the predetermined breaking point breaks upon locking or release of the latching element.

A high removal rate for both sulfur dioxide and mercury is stably maintained if the load of power generation and the composition of exhaust gas fluctuate.

The promoted sorbent comprises a carbon and/or non-carbon base sorbent that has reacted with and contains forms of halogen and halides. Optional components may be added to increase and/or preserve reactivity and mercury capacity. These may be added directly with the base sorbent, or in-flight within a gas stream (air, flue gas, etc.), to enhance base sorbent performance and/or mercury capture. Mercury removal efficiencies obtained exceed conventional methods. The promoted sorbent can be regenerated and reused. Base sorbent treatment and preparation methods are also described. Methods for in-flight preparation, introduction, and control of the active base sorbent into the mercury contaminated gas stream are described.

The method includes the step of reacting CO2 in the gas stream with fine droplets of a liquid absorbent, so as to form a solid material in which the CO2 is bound. The solid material is then transported to a desorption site, where it is heated, to release substantially pure CO2 gas. The CO2 gas can then be collected and used or transported in any desired way.
