    • An electrically driven timepiece is provided with a single user-actuated h button for controlling a modulo-three counter, the counter being utilized to control display advancing pulses derived from an oscillator and frequency divider. In a first state, the counter controls the display advancing pulses to advance the display at a normal rate. In a second state, the counter controls the display advancing pulses to advance the display at a rapid rate to effect a time correction. In a third state, the counter blocks all advancing pulses whereby the display remains constant. This enables the user to restart the advancement of the display at a precise desired instant. In an alternative embodiment, means are provided within the timepiece for automatically advancing the counter from the second to the third state when the display is advanced to a reference position such as the zero seconds position.

    • An electronic timepiece has a display device that displays display information, a drive mechanism that drives the display device, a crown that can perform a rotary operation, and a control device that corrects the display information displayed on the display device by the rotary operation of the crown. The control device has a single correction mode and a continuous correction mode which are selected by the rotary operation of the crown. In the single correction mode, a single correction signal is output to the drive mechanism so that the display device is corrected as much as a single correction quantity. In the continuous correction mode, a continuous correction signal is output to the drive mechanism so that the display device is corrected as much as a continuous correction quantity. The continuous correction quantity is set depending on types of the display information to be corrected in the continuous correction mode.

    • The invention concerns a timepiece. Such timepiece exhibits at least two selectable modes of operation, a first referred to as time and a second referred to as nontime, and it comprises at least one hours hand (h) and one minutes hand (m) capable of being independently actuated by motor means (18, 20), electronic management means (22) for said modes of operation and an external control organ capable of operating on said management means, such timepiece being characterized in that it includes visual means for signalling entry into the non-time mode of operation, such signalling means being formed by said hours (h) and minutes (m) hands acting in an automatic and systematic fashion at least, upon entry into the nontime operating mode. The invention is applicable to an electronic timepiece having an analog display.
