    • A design transfer device comprising an elastic planar wall having a first side surface and a second side surface is disclosed herein. An elastic cutting blade is unitary with the elastic planar wall and extends directly from the first side surface of the elastic planar wall. The elastic cutting blade is continuous and is configured to cut a design from a moldable material. The elastic cutting blade has an inner side surface and an outer side surface with a cutting edge therebetween. The cutting edge is disposed at a substantially constant distance, from the first side surface of the elastic planar wall, throughout its perimeter. A method of using the design transfer device is also disclosed herein.

    • The present invention provides a contact probe pin having both electrical conductivity and durability and being capable of realizing low adhesion to the device under test (particularly, tin contained therein) and thereby stably maintaining electrical contact over a long period of time. The present invention relates to a contact probe pin comprising: a base material; and a carbon film comprising at least one of a metal and a carbide thereof, wherein the carbon film is continuously formed over the surface of from a tip part of the contact probe pin to a lateral part of the contact probe pin, and a content of the at least one of a metal and a carbide thereof in the carbon film is continuously or intermittently decreased from the tip part toward the lateral part.

    • A machine tool such as an NC lathe having a machine body is disclosed. The machine tool comprises a fixed bed, a machine body having a carriage with a tool post mounted thereon is provided on one side of the fixed bed nearer to an operator, and a headstock for loading a workpiece thereon is provided on another side of the fixed bed farther from the operator. The machine tool also includes a cover having a front wall and a side wall to cover at least a front face and a side wall of the machine body, respectively. The cover is provided so as to externally surround the machine tool, and wherein a portion of the side wall of the cover adjacent the tool post includes a door opening formed therein and a side door for opening and closing the door opening. Thus, the tool replacement work is facilitated and the overall workability of the machine tool can be improved.

    • A system for performing machining operations on different portions of workpieces comprising a plurality of workstations including a lathe disposed along a predetermined path, in the present instance, a circular path. A turntable supports a plurality of workpiece chucking devices equi-spaced circumferentially around the turntable. The turntable rotates relative to the workstations to position a workpiece chucking device at each workstation permitting different machining operations to be performed on workpieces simultaneously. The chucking devices are moveable on the turntable in a radial direction to present the workpieces to the various tools at the workstations. The workpiece chucking devices include spindle motors and means for synchronizing the speeds of the spindle motors of the chucking devices with the lathe motor.
