    • An electronic revolution rate limiting apparatus is described which generally comprises a transducer for generating a tachometer signal which is indicative of the revolution rate of the internal combustion engine, a circuit for producing a control signal which is responsive to the tachometer signal and the operation state of the engine and which determines the maximum revolution rate for each of a plurality of operation states, and a switch for interacting with the ignition system of the engine to prevent a sparking voltage from being induced in the ignition system in response to the value of the control signal. When the revolution rate limiting apparatus is employed in a power plant in which the operation states comprise a plurality of drive states (e.g., forward, neutral, reverse), the circuit for producing the control signal is also responsive to which drive state the power plant is in, such that the maximum revolution rate may be individually controlled for each drive state.

    • Apparatus for processing meat products in a controlled environment, in which chambers are arranged in pairs, side by side with one another, and defined by outside walls, and a common median wall, with meat support means arranged on facing surfaces of the walls and having air ducts provided in the walls and openings provided over the extent of the inside surfaces of the walls whereby air may flow from side to side across the chambers and air supply ducts connected to distribution ducts in the walls, and a fan for forcing air therearound, and means whereby flow through the various ducts may be reversed at periodic intervals so that air flow will take place across the chambers in opposite directions, reversing at predetermined intervals during the treatment.Also disclosed is a wall structure for such chambers in which the walls are divided up into a plurality of separate zones, at least some zones being provided with separate branch air ducts, and air connector ducts connected with the branch ducts, and with the other zones, all of which are so controlled, i.e. by dampers, that air flow volumes are substantially equalized over the entire extent of each wall surface.

    • An elongated meat processing system including an improved lifting mechanism for lifting products from a conveyor during conveyance through a treatment zone defined by a housing of the system so as to control the rate of advancement of the products and the time the products are present in the treatment zone. The system preferably includes a plurality of the conveyors arranged in a vertically spaced relationship with each of these conveyors being of a reciprocating type including a pair of laterally spaced reciprocating beams that carry product sticks on which the products are hung. The lifting mechanism includes laterally spaced lifters along the length of the system for lifting the products after forward reciprocation of the conveyor beams so the products are suspended and do not move rearwardly during subsequent rearward beam reciprocation. Prior to a subsequent forward reciprocation, the lifters return the products to the beams to provide product advancement. Elongated control members are pivotally supported along their lengths extending laterally between the laterally spaced lifters to provide coordination of the lifters. Actuators located at one side of the conveyors pivot the control members to operate the lifters.
