    • An LCD includes a liquid crystal panel having a TFT substrate, a CF substrate, and a liquid crystal layer interposed between the two substrates; a TFT ambient light photosensor having a semiconductor layer for detecting external light; a photodetector unit having a capacitor in which a predetermined reference voltage is charged and a voltage charged by leakage current of the TFT ambient light photosensor is lowered; and an ambient light photosensor reader unit for reading a voltage charged in the capacitor for a predetermined read period. The photodetector unit is disposed on a first surface of the TFT substrate that is in contact with the liquid crystal layer, and the surface of the photodetector unit except for the semiconductor layer and its periphery is covered by a light-shielding layer. Malfunction or reduced sensitivity of an ambient light photosensor due to light from backlights is prevented with a simple structure.

    • A computer bezel includes a bezel body, a light-guide structure mounted to the bezel body, and one or more light sources mounted on the bezel body. The light-guide structure includes a first bottom surface and a first end surface connected to the first bottom surface. The lighting portion includes an outer surface exposed out of the bezel body, a first side surface, and a second bottom surface connected to the guiding portion. A cross section of the light-guide structure is L-shaped taken along a plane substantially parallel to the first end surface. The guiding portion is configured to guide a plurality of light beams emitted from the light source to the lighting portion to enable the plurality of light beams to be refracted from the outer surface so as to be visible to a user.

    • The present invention provides a light-importing system, direct-lit backlight module and liquid crystal display device. The light-importing system includes ambient light collection system, facing and collecting ambient light, and outputting absorbed light; a plurality of light-guiding devices, each having light-entering end and light-exiting end, light-entering end adjacent to ambient light collection system, the absorbed light entering light-entering end and guided to light-exiting end, the plurality of the light-exiting ends being arranged in an array format underneath a light-entering surface of a diffuser; and a plurality of light diffusion devices, each disposed between light-exiting end and light-entering surface, expanding the light-emitting angle of the light-exiting end. Because of light diffusion device disposed between light-exiting end and light-entering surface expanding light-emitting angle of light-exiting end, the phenomenon of uneven luminance between light-exiting ends is improved, leading to improvement of displaying quality of direct-lit backlight module.
