摘要： A lock set includes a hollow intermediate spindle connected to a door latch and to an inner handle assembly, a turning rod extending inside the intermediate spindle, a coupler connected to a key-operated lock of an outer handle assembly so as to be turned thereby and connected to the turning rod so as to actuate the turning rod, a first clutch plate fitted around the turning rod for rotation together with the turning rod, and a second clutch plate movably disposed around the turning rod for sliding away from or toward the first clutch plate. In a preferred embodiment, the coupler has a hole to receive a tail end of the key-operated lock. The tail end is rotatable limitedly within the hole of the coupler.

摘要： A latch bolt operating device is adapted for use with a latch bolt unit that is installed in a door panel, and includes exterior and interior operating units. The exterior operating unit includes a key-operated plug-and-cylinder lock assembly, and an exterior housing having an outer annular cover, an inner annular cover and an annular shield. The outer annular cover has a rear end portion formed with a first annular shoulder. The inner annular cover is received in the outer annular cover and has a rear end portion formed with a second annular shoulder. The annular shield extends into the rear end portion of the inner annular cover and has a peripheral portion which engages the second annular shoulder when the latter is bent. The interior operating unit includes a torque bar and an interior housing. The torque bar can be positioned releasably in a first position corresponding to an extended position of a bolt of the latch bolt unit and a second position corresponding to a retracted position of the bolt.

摘要： An inner handle assembly of a door lock includes a handle with an axle. A mounting cap has an axial hole for passage of the axle and a through-hole offset from the axial hole. A spindle driving plate has a central hole engaging fittingly a spindle of the door lock. A manually operable lock unit has a button member extending outwardly through the through-hole and mounted for movement in an axial direction between locking and unlocking positions, and an engagement member in connection with the button member. The engagement member engages the spindle driving plate for locking against rotation of the spindle driving plate when the lock unit is at the locking position. A rotary member is mounted on the axle within the mounting cap for rotating simultaneously the axle. The rotary member moves axially and outwardly the engagement member to disengage from the spindle driving plate when the axle is turned to rotate the rotary member. The axle retards rotation of the spindle driving plate so that the spindle driving plate starts to rotate after the lock unit is moved to the unlocking position.

A plug retaining sleeve has a front portion which extends into the hole of the lock shell and which confines a hollow space for receiving a rear portion of the key plug. The rear portion of the key plug and the front portion of the plug retaining sleeve are respectively formed with third and fourth radially aligned bores which receive a lower tumbler pin of a second tumbler set.

摘要： The mechanism is used with a latch-bolt unit (including a latch-bolt head) and a latch-handle assembly, for installation in a door. The novel mechanism includes a retracting member (connected to retract the latch-bolt head), with two different sets of extracting teeth to accommodate two different standard door-lock backset configurations of standard commercial doors. A connecting device, made up of first and second coupling members as well as a movable configuration-selector plate, is connected at the rear of the latch-bolt unit. The connecting device has two different sets of screw openings and clearing spaces. Its selector plate selectively effectuates either of these two different sets of connecting points, corresponding to the two standard backsets. The selector plate is thus used to adjust the latch-bolt mechanism quickly and easily, to accommodate the preferred door-lock backset--without any modification such as cutting or bending. The selector plate provides a telescoping action, so that the connecting device does not extend into the door substantially beyond the latch-bolt handle assembly; consequently the door-edge bored hole need not be any deeper than necessary. The telescoping action is an exclusively linear, one-stage adjustment motion.
