摘要： Sliding of a seat or reclining of a seat back can be disabled, except when a rider intends to slide the seat or recline the seat back. The motion of an auxiliary bar which permits sliding of a seat is inhibited by an interlocking lock member. An operating piece cannot be raised and hence it is impossible to slide the seat. An engine key is inserted into a first lock mechanism and is turned, causing the interlocking lock member to slide up to a position permitting operation of the operating piece. In addition, a lever of a second lock mechanism faces a reclining lever, so that the reclining lever cannot turn clockwise around a rivet bolt and a pawl remains engaged with any of first to third recesses. If the lever of the second lock mechanism is turned, the reclining lever can be pulled to release the reclining locked condition.

A motor driving enablement circuit generates a motor driving command which selectively limits operation of the electric vehicle in accordance with these determinations. In addition, when a state in which the driver is not occupying the seat continues for a period of time exceeding a predetermined value, a motor halt controller issues a motor halt command for halting a motor of the electric vehicle. Based on the motor driving enablement command and the motor halt command, a power supply controller controls the supply of power to the motor of the electric vehicle.

摘要： A battery for an electrically powered vehicle includes a vehicle body having a battery unit operatively connected to the vehicle body for supplying electricity to the electrically powered vehicle. The battery unit is of an elongated shape in outer configuration and is located under the vehicle body with the length direction extending along the longitudinal direction of the vehicle body. A battery unit for an electric motor vehicle includes a battery assembly including a plurality of elongated batteries extending in the longitudinal direction of the motor vehicle and being disposed adjacent to one another with a small gap being provided therebetween. A battery box is provided for accommodating the battery assembly. The battery box includes a front portion, side portions and a rear portion. Ventilation holes are provided in the front portion of the battery box for introducing cool air at positions corresponding to the gap spaces between adjacent individual batteries. At least one exhaust hole is formed in at least one of the side portions and the rear portion of the battery box.

The thread securing device includes a thread saving member capable of saving an amount of the upper thread corresponding to a predetermined amount of the upper thread to be taken up by the thread take-up member during its movement from a thread loosening position to a thread take-up position, and capable of feeding the saved amount of the upper thread freely in accordance with the thread take-up movement of the thread take-up member; and an actuating member adapted to catch the upper thread extending along the thread guiding path when the thread take-up member is not holding the upper thread and then supply an amount of the upper thread corresponding to the predetermined amount, to the thread saving member.
