摘要： A vehicle includes a sensor device monitoring at least one collision region that is located in the surroundings of the vehicle for sensing at least one object that enters and/or is present in a possible collision region during motion of the vehicle; an electromechanical brake booster and braking force-regulating components coupled thereto, which are operationally integrated into a vehicle braking system for decelerating the vehicle; and a control device that receives signals from the sensor device and, on the basis of those signals, controls the brake booster and the braking force-regulating components and/or further active chassis components. A method for avoiding a collision between the vehicle and the at least one object includes, upon sensing the at least one object, modifying a driving speed and/or driving direction of the vehicle, with the aid of the control device in combination with the braking system and the braking force-regulating components.

摘要： To offer a suspension apparatus for a vehicle with high utility, a suspension apparatus having a damping-force generating device which includes a body-side unit attached so as to project upward from a mount portion formed at a part of the vehicle is provided with a projecting-portion-displacement permitting mechanism for permitting a displacement of at least a projecting portion such that an amount of projection of the projecting portion decreases. The projecting-portion-displacement permitting mechanism is configured as follows, for instance. In a structure in which a downward movement of the body-side unit is prohibited by a pin of a solenoid, the solenoid is energized and the pin is withdrawn, thereby releasing the prohibition of the movement of the body-side unit. In consequence, the body side-unit is permitted to move downward. The mechanism increases a distance between an upper end of the damping-force generating device and a hood disposed above the mount portion, so that an impact applied to the hood from above can be effectively mitigated utilizing a space between the upper end of the damping-force generating device and the hood in which the distance therebetween is increased.

摘要： A front body structure of a vehicle, in which a power-plant is installed, includes a reinforcement secured to a mounting portion of a wheel housing located where an engine mounting bracket is attached. The front body structure also includes another reinforcement, for connecting the reinforcement to a suspension tower, which connects the reinforcement to the wheel housing. The other reinforcement is smaller in plate thickness than the reinforcement so as to absorb impact force applied to the front body during a front end collision. A front frame reinforcement is secured to a front side frame so as to reinforce a portion of the front side frame at a location in which a cut-away portion is formed so as to compensate for a decrease in structural strength of the front side frame. A connecting member connects the power-plant to a rigid structural member so as to suppress a movement of the power-plant during a front end collision.
