摘要： Described is a process for imparting an "air dried cloth" aroma to cloth, synthetic or natural, previously dried using a clothes drier, comprising the step of contacting the cloth prior to drying with an aroma augmenting or enhancing quantity of either (i) a mixture consisting essentially of:(a) from about 0.5 up to about 5% by weight of said composition of n-hexanal;(b) from about 2 up to about 12% by weight of said composition of n-heptanal;(c) from about 5 up to about 15% by weight of said composition of n-octanal;(d) from about 40 up to about 70% by weight of said composition of n-nonanal;(e) from about 10 up to about 30% by weight of said composition of n-decanal;(f) from about 0.5 up to about 5% by weight of said composition of n-undecanal;(g) from about 0.5 up to about 5% by weight of said composition of n-dodecanal;(h) from about 0.5 up to about 5% by weight of said composition of n-tridecanal;(i) from about 0 up to about 5% by weight of said composition of n-tetradecanal;(j) from about 0 up to about 5% by weight of said composition of n-pentadecanal;or (ii) first contacting the cloth with at least one organic acid selected from the group consisting of oleic acid, linoleic acid, and linolenic acid or a glyceride ester thereof, then exposing the resultant treated cloth to air and light in the ultra violet wavelengths prior to drying. Also described is a process for augmenting or enhancing the aroma of consumable materials selected from the group consisting of perfume compositions, colognes and perfumed articles (e.g. perfumed polymers, solid or liquid anionic, cationic, nonionic or zwitterionic detergents, fabric softener compositions, fabric softener articles and hair preparations) by intimately admixing with the perfume composition, cologne or perfumed article composition or component, an aroma augmenting or enhancing quantity of a mixture consisting essentially of the same mixture of C.sub.7 -C.sub.10 straight chain aldehydes as given above.

摘要： Described are methyl substituted pinyl oxopentenes and mixtures of same and uses thereof in augmenting or enhancing the aroma or taste of consumable materials including foodstuffs, chewing gums, toothpastes, medicinal products, chewing tobaccos, perfume compositions, perfumed articles (including perfumed polymers, solid or liquid cationic, anionic, nonionic or zwitterionic detergents, fabric softener compositions, fabric softener articles, optical brightener compositions, and cosmetic powders), colognes, smoking tobacco compositions and smoking tobacco articles including cigars, cigarettes and integrated and separated filters therefor. Also described are processes for preparing such compounds including the steps of reacting alpha and/or beta pinene with carbon monoxide and hydrogen via an oxo reaction in the presence of a catalyst to produce a mixture of aldehydes and then reacting the resulting mixture of aldehydes with methyl ethyl ketone in the presence of a basic catalyst to produce the compounds of our invention.

摘要： Described is a process for preparing hydrogenated derivatives of 2,6,6-trimethyl cyclohexene derivatives by means of treating said derivatives with hydrogen in the presence of a supported palladium catalyst such as palladium-on-calcium carbonate or palladium-on-barium sulfate in the presence of a quinoline activator. The resulting products are useful for their organoleptic properties as foodstuff flavorants and flavor enhancers, perfume composition ingredients, perfumed article ingredients and tobacco flavorants and flavor enhancers.

摘要： Described are substituted 1-oxyalkyl-2,6,6-trimethylcyclohexene derivatives having the generic structure: ##STR1## wherein R.sub.1 is one of OH, ##STR2## OMgX or H; R.sub.2 is ##STR3## OH, OMgX, CH.sub.3, H; R.sub.3 is one of methyl, ethyl, 1-propyl or 2-propyl; X is chloro, bromo or iodo; R.sub.6 is hydrogen or no moiety; one of the wavy lines is a carbon-carbon double and the other of the wavy lines is a carbon-carbon single bond; with the first proviso that when the .DELTA..sup.2,3 bond is a carbon-carbon double bond, then R.sub.6 is hydrogen and the moieties R.sub.6 and ##STR4## are so juxtaposed as to give rise to two different groups of stereoisomers of the molecular genus: ##STR5## and with the second proviso that when R.sub.1 is one of ##STR6## OH or OMgX then R.sub.2 is hydrogen or methyl; and when R.sub.2 is one of ##STR7## OH or OMgX then R.sub.1 is hydrogen. Also described are processes for preparing such 1-oxyalkyl-2,6,6-trimethyl cyclohexene derivatives and organoleptic uses of such 1-oxyalkyl-2,6,6-trimethyl cyclohexene derivatives, with the exception of compounds wherein one of R.sub.1 or R.sub.2 is OMgX.
