摘要： A method and system for delivering a user-settable dose of a first medicament and a non-user settable dose of a second medicament through a single dose setter and a single dispense interface. The drug delivery system includes a drug delivery device and a medicated module. The drug delivery device comprises a single dose setter operably connected to a primary reservoir containing the first medicament. The medicated module comprises (i) a collapsible feature holding the second medicament and (ii) the single dispense interface having an output needle. Further, the drug delivery device and medicated module are each configured such that the single dose setter is mechanically linked to the collapsible feature after attachment of the medicated module to the drug delivery device.

摘要： A method and system for sequentially dispensing a non-user settable dose of one medicament followed by a user-settable dose of a primary medicament. A medicated module may be attachable to a drug delivery device and the drug delivery device may have a drug reservoir holding a first medicament. The medicated module includes a first needle, a second needle, a deformable membrane, and a second medicament. The deformable membrane facilitates sequential dosing of the second medicament followed by the first medicament. After the medicated module is attached to the drug delivery device, (i) the first needle is in fluid communication with the drug reservoir and (ii) the deformable membrane prevents fluid communication between the first and second needle. The deformable membrane prevents fluid communication between the first and second needle until substantially all of the second medicament is dispensed.

摘要： The present invention relates to injectors, such as pen-type injectors, that provide for administration of medicinal products from a multidose cartridge and permit a user to set the delivery dose. The injector may include a housing, a cartridge containing medicinal product, the cartridge being retained within the housing, means for selecting a dose of medicinal product to be expelled, and means for expelling the selected dose of medicinal product. The housing may be a unitary housing within which the means for selecting a dose and the means for expelling the selected dose are moveably retained. Alternatively, the injector may include a housing, a piston rod, an insert located in the housing and through which the piston may rotate, ratchet means, a dose dial sleeve, a drive sleeve, a button located on the drive sleeve and rotatable with respect to the drive sleeve, and clutch means which upon depression of the button prevents rotation between the dose dial sleeve and the drive sleeve.

摘要： A medicated module for an injection system to co-deliver at least two medicaments is disclosed where a primary delivery device containing a primary medicament accepts a medicated module containing a single dose of a secondary medicament and where both medicaments are delivered through a hollow needle. The medicated module is user selectable so that it will deliver a priming dose of a primary medicament or both the primary and secondary medicaments. The module also contains a needle guard that locks after dose delivery. The needle guard prevents accidental needle sticks before and after an injection. A locking collar rotates during use as an inner protrusion follows three paths of a track located on the outer surface of a body housing. When the inner facing protrusion is in the third path, it encounters a hard stop and a rotational bias that locks the guard from further refraction and thus covers the sharp distal end of the needle.

An apparatus is also presented that has a main body and a cartridge holder, wherein the cartridge holder is removably attached to the main body. A method for inserting of a medicament reservoir in a cartridge holder or in an apparatus is also described.
