    • A terminal metal fitting has a wire connecting portion to which an electric wire is connected and an electrically contacting portion to which a mating terminal metal fitting is connected. The electrically contacting portion is formed in a hollow quadrilateral cylinder. The mating terminal metal fitting has an insertion to be inserted into the electrically contacting portion. The electrically contacting portion has a flat bottom wall, a ceiling wall facing the bottom wall, and a pair of elastic pieces 15a, 15b. The elastic pieces 15a, 15b are arranged in an insertion direction of the insertion. One end portions 16a, 16b of the respective elastic pieces 15a, 15b integrally continue from the bottom wall. The elastic pieces 15a, 15b each are formed obliquely from the one end portions 16a, 16b toward the other end portions 17a, 17b, respectively, with respect to the bottom wall from the bottom wall toward the ceiling wall. End faces 18a, 18b of the other end portions 17a, 17b of the elastic pieces 15a, 15b face the insertion direction of the insertion into the electrically contacting portion.

    • A rear combination lamp comprises a lamp body (2) including socket mounting portions (3) and a lens portion (6), and sockets (20). Lamps are respectively attached to the sockets. Each of the socket mounting portions has a hollow construction of a generally truncated pyramid-shaped. Conductors (4, 11) are mounted on rear end portions of the socket mounting portions to form a predetermined circuit. Connection terminals (23) each having a conductor contact portion (24) are arranged within the sockets. The respective conductor contact portions project from flanges (22) or socket bodies (21) of the sockets so as to contact the respective conductors. When the respective sockets are mounted in the respective socket mounting portions, the respective conductors can be electrically connected to the respective lamps through the conductor contact portions of the connection terminals. The socket mounting portions may include ribs (10), fixing ribs (7) and fixing holes (9) for installing the conductors (4).

    • There is disclosed a connector which can be used with either of crimp-type terminals and press-connecting terminals, thereby enhancing an operation efficiency, and also reducing the cost. The connector includes a housing having an opening formed at one side of rear half portions of terminal receiving chambers, and wires are inserted respectively into the terminal receiving chambers through the opening, and the housing has a cover for covering the opening. The cover is integrally connected by molding to that portion of the housing, disposed forwardly of the opening, through a hinge so that the cover can be turned between a closed and an open position. The cover and the housing are provided with engagement means by which the cover can be retained relative to the housing in a two-stage manner, that is, in a provisionally-retained condition in which the cover is provisionally retained relative to the housing to provisionally retain terminals received respectively in the terminal receiving chambers, and a completely-retained condition in which the cover is completely retained relative to the housing to completely retain the terminals and also to close the opening.

    • A waterproof connector housing which directly mounts on a device includes a hood portion for fitting on a mating connector housing, an elastic seal ring provided inside the hood portion for forming a watertight seal between the waterproof connector housing and the mating connector housing, and an O-ring for forming a watertight seal for the device. The O-ring is located at the proximal end of the hood portion which is to face the device. The elastic seal ring and the O-ring are integrally formed with each other through disengagement prevention portions and connecting portions of the elastic seal ring. The disengagement prevention portions extend through the proximal end portion of the hood, and each of the connecting portions interconnect their respective disengagement prevention portions with the O-ring.

    • A case having a case body, in which a plurality of terminal accommodating chambers are formed in parallel, and an elastic waterproof portion, which is formed integrally with the case body and which has a plurality of wire insertion holes into which covered wires are inserted in a waterproof state is inserted through an opened portion of a connector housing so that the elastic waterproof portion is fitted to the opened portion in a waterproof state. Since the elastic waterproof portion is formed integrally with the case body, pressure cannot easily act on the portions in which the solderless terminals and the covered wires are solderless-connected to one another even if the elastic waterproof portion is strongly pressed to the inside of the opened portion. Therefore, the electrically conductive state between the solderless terminals and the covered wires can be maintained.
