摘要： It is made possible to concretely estimate actual transmission bit rate in a frame of grasping a line state by using a report packet.Together with media packets encoded by a video encoder 1 and an audio encoder 2, a sender report packet generated by a sender report generation section 3 is sent to the transmission line. A receiver report packet is fed back from the receiver side. Each of the sender report packet and the receiver report packet includes report packets of two kinds differing in size. A rate estimation section 4 estimates transmission bit rate on the basis of round-trip delay time for the sender report packet and the receiver report packet each having a small size and round-trip delay time for the sender report packet and the receiver report packet each having a large size.

摘要： An object of the present invention is to establish, for an LSI having a stacked interconnection structure of Cu interconnect/Low-k material, a narrow pitch wire bonding technique enabling a reduction in damage to a bonding pad and application similar to the conventional LSI of an aluminum interconnection. In a semiconductor device having a multilayer interconnection made of a Cu interconnect/Low-k dielectric material, the above-described object can be attained by a bonding pad structure in which all the wiring layers up to the uppermost cap interconnect are formed of a Cu wiring layer and a bonding pad portion formed of a Cu layer is equipped with a refractory intermediate metal layer such as Ti (titanium) filmor (tungsten) film on the Cu layer and an aluminum alloy layer on the intermediate metal layer.

According to the invention, solder balls and a tool having a large number of through-holes are used, and under the condition that the through-holes of the tool are aligned with the pads of the semiconductor device, the solder balls are charged into the through-holes, pressed to be fixed on the pads, and then reflowed to form bumps.

摘要： To provide a fast video browsing system in which a fast playback suitable for keeping track of the contents can be performed by adaptively determining the number of skipped pictures according to the motion vector of picture, and displaying the picture after the skipped pictures. In step S1, pictures to be fast viewed are sequentially inputted, and in step S2, n pictures are skipped. In step S3, the picture after the n skipped pictures is displayed. In step S4, using the picture before or after the displayed picture with respect to time, a motion vector at one frame interval is detected, and in step S5, the number n of skipped pictures is determined from the motion vector. As a result, the number of skipped pictures can be adaptively determined by the motion vector of a picture.

摘要： In picture decoding from compressed data, noise component is predicted for each pixel, and noise-free original picture data is predicted from the predicted noise component and the decoded picture data, thus permitting picture quality improvement to be obtained.Horizontal and vertical picture noise reduction circuits are provided such that they are the same in the process contents and are different in the direction of data processing. An activity calculation circuit derives the activity of block-based decoded picture data, and a block mean noise prediction circuit predicts block mean noise according to the activity obtained in the activity calculation circuit. A pixel noise prediction circuit derives predicted noise in each pixel from the predicted block mean noise obtained in the block mean noise prediction circuit and the activity obtained in the activity calculation circuit. A filter coefficient determining circuit determines filter coefficients. A filter circuit predicts and outputs noise-free picture data.
