摘要： A rest apparatus for supporting a cylindrical portion of a workpiece to be machined. A pilot shaft is supported at the opposite ends thereof by a support head and provided with a piston portion to form a hydraulic cylinder with a cylinder bore of a rest housing so as to move the rest housing toward and away from the workpiece. The axis of the pilot shaft passes through or slightly above the axis of the workpiece. Rotation of the rest housing about the pilot shaft is prevented. A pair of rest shafts are slidably but nonrotatably received in the rest housing for horizontally and vertically supporting the workpiece by a pair of rest shoes. Feed apparatus is operatively connected to the pair of rest shafts to feed the pair of rest shoes toward the center of the workpiece.

摘要： An electrophoretic display device uses a liquid-phase electrophoretic material not confined in a shell. An electrophoresis chamber with the electrophoretic material hermetically sealing therein is mounted in a substrate. Also, a display section, a data communication section, a driver section, and a power reception section are mounted on the substrate. The data communication section is communicable with an external device to receive data to be displayed in the display section. The driver section is provided for driving the display section. To supply power to various sections of the display device, the power reception section is provided for wirelessly being supplied with power from an external station. A panel is mated with the substrate to cover the data communication section, the driver section, and the power reception section while exposing a transparent cover plate of the display section.

摘要： In a data processing apparatus, an image memory has a descriptor region and an image region, the image region storing a plurality of blocks of image data, the descriptor region storing a corresponding number of descriptor information blocks for the plurality of image data blocks. A DMA controller controls DMA data transfer of the image data blocks from the image region according to each descriptor information block in the descriptor region. The DMA controller comprises a register which stores one of the descriptor information blocks from the descriptor region of the image memory, and a control unit which determines, at a time of occurrence of a CPU interrupt, a start timing of a DMA data output operation of the DMA controller during a DMA data input operation of the DMA controller when an image editing request contained in input image data is received, the CPU interrupt being caused to occur by an interrupt request bit of the descriptor information block read from the register.
