    • A snap on, drain back fitment closure for a container, wherein the drain back pour spout fitment has a snap fit structure overlaying a container or bottle neck finish and which may be secured thereto with adhesives. Further the closure has a radial outwardly facing latch engaging a radial inwardly facing interfering projection on the fitment forming a child safety feature for the fitment closure.

    • A DC fan, or lot of DC fans is characterized at a constant voltage to determine the variation of their rotational speed with respect to altitude. Many such DC fans will have a substantially linear response in speed with respect to altitude. From this relationship, a converter is constructed to convert the rotational speed into an altitude. The converter may be a discrete electronic device including a look up table or capable of performing the arithmetic algorithm representing the relationship between fan speed and altitude. Alternatively, the converter may be incorporated into the system to be cooled by the DC fan. For example, it may be a software routine run by the computer that the DC fan is used to cool.

    • An opening roof for a vehicle having an opening in the fixed roof comprises a frame to be mounted around the opening, and a flexible cover for selectively closing or disposing the opening. A cover plate is fixed to the front side of the cover and is guided at its lateral ends through glide shoes in guide rails extending along either side of the opening in longitudinal direction of the frame. The opening roof is provided with an electric motor and drive cables coupled to the cover plate in order to slide it for opening and closing the opening roof. A displacement mechanism is arranged between the cover plate and the glide shoes, onto which the drive cables act for tightening the cover plate in a forward and downward direction relative to the glide shoes during the final closing movement.

    • A system for implementing accurate V/Hz value measurement and trip time determination for generator/transformer overexcitation protection independent of the conventional frequency tracking and phasor estimation based on Discrete Fourier Transformation (DFT) techniques. A sampled sinusoidal voltage signal is passed through a digital integrator and the magnitude of the digital integrator's output is measured as representative of the V/Hz ratio. The digital integrator is implemented in software using a difference equation in a generator protection unit. The technique may be used with either a fixed or a variable sampling frequency. When the sampling frequency is variable, the filter coefficients of the digital integrator are recalculated on-line each time the sampling frequency is changed, and a new value for the peak magnitude of the output of the digital integrator is calculated using the recalculated filter coefficients. Non-linear frequency response characteristics of the voltage sensors and non-ideal characteristics of the digital integrator are also adjusted using the measured frequency and error-frequency characteristics of the particular digital integrator and voltage sensors used.
