摘要： A medicated module attachable to a drug delivery device comprising a connecting body configured for attachment to the drug delivery device. A first needle held within a first needle hub of the connecting body and a second needle fixed within a second needle hub of the connecting body. A recess within the connecting body defining a reservoir. The reservoir containing at least one dose of a medicament and configured for fluid communication with the first needle. The connecting body further comprises a lockout feature that prevents the medicated module from being reconnected to the drug delivery device after the medicated module has been connected to the drug delivery device a first time.

摘要： A medicated module for an injection system to co-deliver at least two medicaments is disclosed where a primary delivery device containing a primary medicament accepts a medicated module containing a single dose of a secondary medicament and where both medicaments are delivered through a hollow needle. The medicated module is user selectable so that it will deliver a priming dose of a primary medicament or both the primary and secondary medicaments. The module also contains a needle guard that locks after dose delivery. The needle guard prevents accidental needle sticks before and after an injection. A locking collar rotates during use as an inner protrusion follows three paths of a track located on the outer surface of a body housing. When the inner facing protrusion is in the third path, it encounters a hard stop and a rotational bias that locks the guard from further refraction and thus covers the sharp distal end of the needle.

The invention solves the technical problem of reducing the risk of reuse of a dispense interface, after it has already been used with a drug delivery device. The invention furthermore relates to an apparatus with a dispense interface according to the invention and with a drug delivery device, wherein the dispense interface is removably attached to the drug delivery device.

An apparatus is also presented that has a main body and a cartridge holder, wherein the cartridge holder is removably attached to the main body. A method for inserting of a medicament reservoir in a cartridge holder or in an apparatus is also described.

摘要： The invention faces the technical problem of providing a tight connection between a tube and an dispense interface, while at the same time the biocompatibility of the connection can be improved. The technical problem is solved by an apparatus comprising a tube configured to guide a medium and a dispense interface. The tube comprises a first opening and a second opening, while the dispense interface comprises a recess. The recess has a first opening and a second opening and the tube is at least in part inserted into the recess. The tube is permanently affixed to the dispense interface by a combination of an interference fit and an adhesive, such that the interference fit prevents the adhesive from contaminating the medium.

The system may include a dual cross-section, floating piston arranged to facilitate first delivering all or substantially all of a given medicament (e.g., a secondary medicament) through an output needle and then thereafter delivering yet another medicament (e.g., a primary medicament) through the same output needle in a single injection step. The dual cross-section, floating piston of the system also reduces or limits ullage left in the medicated module relative to the amount of the secondary medicament dispensed from the system.
