    • A micromotor comprises a cylindrical rotor casing having a central through-hole, and a rotor having a cylindrical, magnetic rotor block fixed on a rotor shaft and inserted in the central through-hole of the rotor casing. First and second bearings support the rotor shaft for rotation and are fitted, respectively, in opposite ends of the central through-hole of the rotor casing and define a sealed rotor chamber therebetween. Stator coils are attached to the outer rotor circumference of the rotor casing, and a stator casing is joined to the rotor casing coaxially with the rotor so as to cover that stator coils. A magnetic fluid is filled in the sealed rotor chamber between the first and second bearings between which is disposed the magnetic rotor block. A series of Peltier elements are attached to the outer circumference of the stator casing and electrically connected to a power supply to absorb heat generated by the operation of the components of the micromotor.

    • A noise and/or vibration damping system for an electric motor such as for use with a sound motion picture camera. In a preferred embodiment the electric motor includes a rotor shaft supported at either end thereof by bearings, a magnetic field assembly fixed to the motor case and concentrically positioned between the rotor shaft and the motor case, an armature winding assembly fixed to the rotor shaft concentrically positioned between the motor case and the magnetic field assembly, wherein the bearing means are supported upon the magnetic field assembly and are vibrationally isolated therefrom by plurality of O-rings concentrically positioned between the bearing means and the magnetic field assembly, the O-rings being axially spaced along the magnetic field assembly.

    • A rotor winding of air-core disc shape is formed by winding an insulation-coated conductor so as to enclose a yoke of disc shape with only minor gaps at the outside of the yoke. The conductor of this rotor winding extends in the radial direction through the vicinity of the center, and is continuously wound, the turns being successively shifted in the tangential direction. The rotor is composed of the rotor winding, a rotor shaft fixed on this center, and a commutator. A permanent magnet is provided in such a position as opposes the yoke through the plane of the rotor winding of air-core disc shape. This magnet has at least a pair of magnet poles distributed to the opposite position against the rotor shaft, and each magnet pole supplies reverse magnet flux to the opposing yoke. The yoke, the magnet, and a brush contacted the commutator are mounted on the motor case, and the rotor is supported to the motor case so as to be rotated freely.
