    • Self-raising drive-over entranceways for containment berms are disclosed. The entranceway includes a horizontal bottom panel and a collapsible sidewall that is held in a partially collapsed position forming a void between the bottom panel and sidewall. During a spill or the filling of the containment berm with a fluid, the void area between the partially collapsed sidewall and the horizontal bottom panel fills with the fluid and exerts hydrostatic pressure against the partially collapsed sidewall, forcing it to rotate upward. The higher the fluid level, the more hydrostatic pressure is applied against the sidewall, forcing it up higher until the sidewall obtains a vertical orientation. The sidewall may be restrained either by straps, braces or the like to prevent the fluid from escaping the containment area.

    • A modular liquid dam comprising a plurality of individual elongated members or segments that can be assembled in an end-to-end relationship to form a temporary liquid retainer or diverter on a substrate surface. The dam members are provided with one or more longitudinal bores or passages that reduce the amount of material in each member, thereby reducing manufacturing costs. The bores may extend completely through the dam member, may be internal bores closed off at each end, or may be bore segments intermittently spaced within the dam member. Intermittent bore segments provide internal bridging structures to increase the structural integrity of the dam member. Preferably the bore members are open on at least one end of the dam member such that a stiffener rod or rods of varying rigidity may be inserted into the dam members to increase and vary the rigidity of the dam member as desired Likewise, connection members may be formed in the dam members or inserted in the open ends of the bores to provide a mechanical or friction fit between adjoining dam members.

    • The invention relates to a flood control device with direct sensing and control. The flood control device consists of a float which is connected with a flood barrier sheet and the flood barrier sheet will be pulled up by the float according to the flood water level. The flood barrier sheet is fixed at the support frame by having flaps. The flaps are filled by compressed air. The flood barrier sheet has a rounded ball shape protruding edge at four sides of the sheet which will be fully secured from slip out due to the pressure exerted from the flood water by compressed air filled flaps. The flood control device is anchored onto the ground by having a shaft (which is inserted into the hole of the bottom piece through a hard rubber ring at shaft end and groove at the bottom piece). A stand is anchored onto the ground and connected to the support frame of the flood control device with metal structure to prevent from collapsing due to force from the flood water.
