    • A handlebar coupling and adjustment unit comprises a housing, a pivot pin, a manual grip and a retaining pin. The housing receives an end portion of a handlebar. The pivot pin joins the housing to the handlebar and pivotally supports the handle relative to the handle bracket. The retaining pin is connected to the manual grip and is linearly translatable in a first direction from an extended positioned projecting beyond the housing to a withdrawn position within the housing. The manual grip is rotatable while the retaining pin is in the withdrawn position between a locked position in which the housing holds the manual grip with the retaining pin in the withdrawn position and an unlocked positioned in which the manual grip is linearly translatable in a second direction to return the retaining pin to the extended position.

    • A mounting device is used to mount a handlebar on a head tube of a bicycle and includes a positioning member which is adapted to be mounted on the head tube and a holding member which includes complementary first and second holding arms. Each holding arm has a pivot end portion, a gripping end portion and an abutment face which extends between the pivot and gripping end portions. The pivot end portion of each of the holding arms is mounted pivotally on the positioning member. The gripping end portion of each of the holding arms is formed with a grip section with an axis that is parallel to an axis of the pivot hole. The grip sections of the holding arms are adapted to grip fittingly the handlebar therebetween. The abutment faces of the holding arms are complementary and are formed as twisted faces that abut against each other. A first fastener extends through the pivot end portion of each of the holding arms and the positioning member to mount the holding member onto the positioning member. A second fastener extends through the holding arms on one side of the grip section to secure the holding member on the handlebar.

    • A slidebar assembly for adjustably positioning the handlebar of a bicycle or other similar vehicle includes a slidebar having a base end which pivotally attaches to the head of the bicycle stem and a slide block assembly which carries the handlebar on the slidebar so that the forward position of the handlebar can be adjusted in a slide motion. Hand accessible cam lock levers are provided on the slide block assembly for releasing the grip of the slide block assembly on the slidebar; a further hand-accessible cam lock lever is provided at the base of the slidebar for adjusting the pivot angle of the slidebar in relation to the handlebar stem which fits into the frame of the bicycle. Adjustment of the pivot angle of the slidebar in relation to the bicycle stem is provided by means of unique cam lock mechanism, which, when the cam lock lever at the base end of the slidebar is actuated, operatively releases the base end to pivot on the head of the handlebar stem. Due to the hand-accessible nature of the slide and pivot adjustments on the slidebar, the handlebar can be repositioned without the use of tools as the cyclist is riding the bicycle.

    • Improved handlebars for power vehicles such as two wheeled vehicles and all terrain vehicles, and in particular to handlebars for off road motorcycles, dirt bikes, all terrain vehicles and jet skis. The improved design eliminates the requirement for a crossbar by designing handlebars that have a larger diameter central portion including the area where the handlebars are attached to the vehicle, and a unique tapered configuration wherein the handblebars are manufactured through a process that causes the same amount of metal to be located in the widest diameter portion of the handlebars as in the narrowest diameter portion of the handlebars. The handlebars have a longer unsupported span than conventional handlebars, thereby providing more cushioning strength and greater steering control.
