    • The present invention provides means for sequencing various supply voltages to electronic circuits and devices to thereby protect those circuits and devices from exposure to deleterious voltages. A first transistor switch connects a first voltage source to a first output terminal. A second transistor switch is connected to the control electrode of the first transistor switch. The second transistor switch, when conducting, causes the first transistor switch to conduct. The second transistor switch is turned on by a second voltage source which is connected through a delay circuit to the control electrode of the second transistor switch. The second voltage source also is connected through a diode and capacitor circuit to a second output terminal.

    • A presettable integrating timing circuit is capable of comparing the timelt product of an input signal with a preset signal. Means, comprising an input and an output, integrate an electrical signal at the input into an integrated signal at the output. Means, having two inputs, one input being connected to the output of the integrating means, the other input being connectable to a reference voltage, are capable of comparing the magnitude of a signal appearing at the first-named input with the reference voltage. Means are connected to the integrating means for clamping the input of the integrating means at a desired value. A feedback circuit is connected between the output and the input of the integrating means, to prevent the integrating means from saturating.

    • A switching circuit designed to start operation after the lapse of a predetermined delay time from its connection to a power source. The switching circuit has a switch element which is rendered conductive when the terminal voltage of a capacitor of a time constant circuit connected to the power source for determining the delay time has reached a predetermined value. Thereafter the electric charge of said capacitor is quickly discharged through a low impedance discharge line including said switch element. Thus, when the switching circuit has once been brought into operation after the lapse of a predetermined delay time from its connection to the power source, the capacitor of the time constant circuit is substantially completely discharged in such a manner that the terminal voltage of this capacitor is restored to substantially the same value as that before the connection to the power source, thereby allowing the switching circuit to provide the constant delay time even if its reconnection to the power source is made immediately after its disconnection therefrom.

    • The invention discloses an electronic input-interruption timer for use with an electrical appliance such as a washing machine, a fan, a refrigerator and so on. The timer comprises an integrator consisting of an input resistor and a capacitor, a switching element, a MOS field-effect transistor, a discharge resistor, and a switching circuit operable in response to the magnitude of the drain current of the field-effect transistor; the field-transistor, the switching element, the capacitor and the discharge resistor being embedded or potted in a molded plastic insulation. Since the capacitor and the discharge resistor are completely air- and water-tightly sealed, the highly reliable and dependable operation may be ensured even when used with a water-handling appliance such as a washing machine.

    • A timing circuit is disclosed which utilizes a principal transistor as a switch to control current flow through a load. The emitter and collector of this principal transistor are connected in a series with a load across DC terminals. Two control transistors are used to regulate when a current is passed by the principal transistor. The base of a first of these control transistors is connected between a resistor and a capacitor in an RC circuit which is connected so as to determine if a current is flowing in the first mentioned series circuit. The base of the other of the transistors is connected to the first mentioned series circuit through a resistor and a capacitor and is grounded through a resistor. As a result of charging of its associated capacitor and of feedback through this capacitor the first control transistor serves to render the principal transistor conductive after it has not conducted a current for a time interval determined by its associated resistor. The second control transistor serves to maintain the principal transistor conductive as its associated capacitor becomes charged and as the charge bleeds off of it.

    • Timers for controlling load circuits, such as motors in motordriven cameras, have ON and OFF intervals which can either be continuously repeated or automatically interrupted after various selected sequences of ON-OFF operations for thereafter holding the load circuit in an energized or de-energized state. The timers comprise a bi-stable circuit having complementary output signals and a pair of CR time-delay circuits for generating timedelayed signals in response to the output signals, the timedelayed signals being coupled to respective inputs of the bistable circuit for causing the bi-stable circuit to be alternately set in first and second states. A load responsive to one of the output signals is energized or de-energized in accordance with the state of the bi-stable circuit. An interrupter circuit responsive to one of the time-delayed signals causes the load to be continuously energized or de-energized after a selected ON-OFF sequence.
