An independent tank has at least one curvature change portion in which the curvature along the axial direction of plate members that form the tank changes along the axial direction. Both the inner peripheral surface and the outer peripheral surface of the plate member on the small curvature side are not flush with respect to the inner peripheral surface and the outer peripheral surface of the plate member on the large curvature side. The plate thickness center of the plate member on the small curvature side is offset toward the radial direction inner side or the radial direction outer side with respect to the plate thickness center of the plate on the large curvature side.

摘要： A method of manufacturing a liner for use in a pressure vessel includes a cold drawing process that shapes a transition zone (20b) part of an aluminium alloy liner shell (10). The transition zone (20b) links a thinner walled drum part (18) and a thicker walled end region (20a), which is at an open top of the shell. The transition zone (20b) may be shaped by the cold drawing process such that it reduces susceptibility of the shell to fracture during removal from a cold drawing press and also redistributes shell material in preparation for a subsequent process in which a threaded neck is formed from the end region (20a). This process is particularly suited to processing harder aluminium alloy materials such as AA7060 or AA7032.

摘要： A drain assembly for a tank or containment vessel of the type having a flexible and removable interior liner. The drain assembly comprises a drain intake in fluid communication with a wall traversing portion. The drain intake is operatively deployable in proximity to the bottom of the tank and the wall traversing portion is operatively deployable through a wall of the tank. The wall traversing portion includes a conduit portion in fluid communication with the drain intake and with a location exterior to the tank. The conduit portion includes an interior stopper plate and a threaded portion. The drain assembly includes a hammer nut threadably receivable over the threaded portion when the conduit portion is received through the wall of the tank such that tightening the hammer nut upon the threaded portion causes the hammer nut to engage the exterior of the tank wall causing the stopper plate to compress the tank liner against the interior surface of the tank wall thereby securing the drain assembly to the tank wall and helping to prevent the unintentional leakage of the contents of the tank through the tank wall.

摘要： A gas tank is provided which can ensure high gas barrier properties even with respect to a gas having a small molecular size, for example, a hydrogen gas. In a high-pressure gas tank comprising a resin liner inside an FRP layer, an oxide layer is formed on the inner surface of the resin liner. When a reinforcing fiber is wound around the outer surface of the resin liner by a filament winding process, air is beforehand enclosed inside the resin liner. Next, when the reinforcing fiber is thermally cured to form the FRP layer, the inner surface of the resin liner is thermally oxidized to form the oxide layer.
