    • An assembly for safely supporting an occupant in a vehicle such as, but not limited to, a watercraft and including a seat assembly and a support frame. A connector assembly is disposed and structured to movably interconnect the seat assembly to said support frame along a first rotational axis. A mount assembly is connected to the vehicle and includes an attachment assembly disposed and structured to movably interconnect the support frame to the mount assembly along a second rotational axis. The support frame and the connector assembly associated therewith as well as the mount assembly and the attachment assembly associated therewith are cooperatively disposed and structured to orient said first and second rotational axes in substantially perpendicular relation to one another, such that the seat assembly will be able to move in a substantially gimbal-like fashion relative to the movement of the vehicle while traveling.

    • A tiltable seat apparatus comprises a mounting structure attachable a vehicle chassis and including spaced-apart upstanding portions and a mounting member connected between the upstanding portions. A seat assembly includes a seat frame having spaced-apart downstanding portions. Each one of the downstanding portions is pivotably attached to a respective one of the upstanding portions such that an axis of rotation extends through the downstanding and upstanding portions whereby the seat frame pivots about the axis of rotation. A resilient member is engaged between the mounting structure and the seat attachment structure, and allows the seat assembly to pivot about the axis of rotation with respect to the mounting structure between a static orientation and an angularly displaced orientation. The resilient member exerts force on the mounting structure and the seat assembly when in the angularly displaced orientation for biasing the seat attachment structure toward the static orientation.

    • A controller module for a wheelchair automatically, automatedly adjusts position of the wheelchair seat with respect to the wheelchair base. The wheelchair seat is pivotally connected to the wheelchair base, and the seat is moveable with respect to the base by a powered actuator. The controller module includes a microprocessor connected to the powered actuator. The microprocessor controls operation of the powered actuator, such as by varying power to the actuator. A sensor, such as a 3-axis sensor, is connected to the microprocessor. The sensor senses seat position and signals the microprocessor of the position. The microprocessor performs a programmed sequence, to periodically adjust the seat position when the wheelchair seat is occupied. The signal from the sensor is feedback to the microprocessor for operations according to the programmed sequence. The controller module includes interfaces for use in making selections among options for the programmed sequence. A display of the controller module can provide output information. The controller module also includes other interfaces for input and output, such as for programming the microprocessor, settings, and otherwise. The controller module can provide medical and therapeutic benefits by operations of periodically adjusting the seat position, thereby varying a wheelchair occupant's pressure contacts, weights, and loadings against the seat.
