摘要： A manufacturing method of an EL insert molding which can manufacture the EL element without damage while a temperature and a pressure of resin to be injected are maintained at an optimum forming condition. A luminous portion and a non-luminous portion are provided in an EL element. The EL element is inserted in a cavity of an injection die, and resin is injected into the cavity to manufacture the EL insert molding. In the cavity, a gate portion is provided at a position opposite to the non-luminous portion of the EL element. A decorative film 2 may be formed integrally in front of the EL element.

摘要： A composition containing thermoplastic elastomer and elastic fine particles is extruded into a sheet-like shape from an extruder. Then, by expanding this sheet-like shape member, a covering sheet having minute unevenness attributable to the elastic fine particles formed on the surface is produced. The covering sheet may have an adhesive layer, a substrate layer, a foamed resin layer, etc., on the opposite side to the surface having a matt feeling. Such covering sheet can be produced with good productivity without creating environmental problems such as a problem related to solvent, etc. By molding using the covering sheet, a molding having matt feeling can be obtained.

摘要： A composite article such as an automotive trim strip comprising a thermoplastic shell secured to the front of a supporting member. An icon is embedded in a recess in the front of the shell so that the front of the icon is substantially flush with the front of the shell. The icon is secured in the recess of the shell by an adhesive. The supporting member is made of a hot melt material and is bonded to the shell in an injection mold. The heat of the molding operation softens the thermoplastic shell sufficiently to cause the icon to form a recess in the shell and become embedded therein. The heat of the molding operation also cures the adhesive bonding the icon to the shell.

A molten thermoplastic resin is injected into the mold cavity under pressure so that the resin contacts an interior surface (15) of the thermoplastic substrate (12) to thereby firmly press the exterior surface (14) of the thermoplastic substrate (12) and the affixed label (16) against the wall of the mold cavity, thereby forming the composite article (10). Sufficient heat and pressure are provided within the mold cavity to at least partially recess the label (16) into the exterior surface (14) of the thermoplastic substrate (12) and integrally mold the thermoplastic substrate (12) to the label (16). The composite article (10) is then cooled and removed from the mold cavity.

摘要： A surface-patterned, injection-molded article of polybutylene terephthalate is produced by placing a film composed mainly of a polybutylene resin and back-printed with a desired graphic and/or indicia pattern in a mold cavity so that the printed surface of the film will be in contact with resin to be injected thereinto. Prior to mold placement, the back-printed surface is coated with an adhesive layer. Molten resin composed mainly of polybutylene terephthalate is then injected into the mold cavity to cause the adhesive to bond the pattern-printed film integrally onto a corresponding surface of the resulting molded PBT article.

摘要： A vulcanized rubber-synthetic resin composite structure is produced by injecting a molten synthetic resin into a mold in which a vulcanized rubber molding has been disposed. For improvement the surface of the vulcanized rubber molding which comes into contact with the synthetic resin is chrominated, and on the chlorinated surface a curable adhesive layer composed mainly of resol-type phenolic resin and aldehyde-modified polyvinyl alcohol is formed. Alternatively a curable adhesive layer composed mainly of chlorosulfonated polyethylene is formed the surface of the vulcanized rubber molding which comes into contact with the synthetic resin, to which the molten synthetic resin is injected while keeping the vulcanized rubber molding heated.
