摘要： A device and method for producing individualized meals according to the visual desires of each diner at a restaurant. Reservoirs of viscous foodstuff is deposited by an XY or XYZ plotter to simulate edible images and then cooked prior to diners immediately consuming them. The high-volume system includes a rotary shuttle table that contemporaneously prints, cooks, flips and dispenses food products, especially pancakes. Patrons draw images using drawing implements whose colors coincide with the viscous foodstuffs in the reservoirs. These images are digitally scanned and the data is used to drive the XY plotter thereby enabling colored printed food to correlate with images drawn by patrons immediately prior to ordering.

摘要： A unitary elastic mold and cutter combination configured to mold and cut moldable material is disclosed herein. The mold and cutter combination comprises an elastic mold cavity having an elastic bottom wall with an embossed inner surface and an elastic sidewall extending from and unitary with a perimeter of the bottom wall. An elastic cutting blade extends from and is unitary with the sidewall of the mold cavity and is configured to cut moldable material and maintain a substantially consistent perimeter upon cutting. The cutting blade comprises a cutting edge disposed between an inner cutting blade surface and an outer cutting blade surface. The mold and cutter combination may have an elasticity sufficient to release molded material therefrom by hand stretching, wherein the cutting edge, inner cutting blade surface, and the inner surface of the sidewall of the mold cavity are stretched by an amount sufficient to release the molded material.

摘要： A method for forming thin edible pieces uses two continuous belts that cooperate to form a fill cavity. An edible mass, such as chocolate, is flowed into the fill cavity where it forms an edible blank which is transported on a belt path with the two belts moving in tandem. After the edible blank is released from the first or second continuous belt, a three-dimensional shape may be imparted to the edible blank at a forming station using one or more stamping dies or a forming drum. Using the techniques and apparatus described herein, novel edible products, and particularly novel chocolate products, can be made having shape characteristics that cannot be obtained using known molding or forming techniques.

摘要： A method for applying a color image to a non-planar comestible may include applying a color image onto a substantially planar carrier and deforming the carrier to form a non-planar relief mold of a three-dimensional image, including deforming the color image whereby the deformed color image is proportionate relative to, i.e., is in register with, the three-dimensional image. A comestible material, e.g., chocolate or a gelatinous edible composition, may be deposited into the relief mold to substantially overlie the color image. The comestible material may be removed from the relief mold, with the color image applied thereto. In one implementation, the color image may be applied to the substantially planar carrier by screen printing one or more colors forming the color image onto the carrier using an edible ink composition.
