    • A dynamic classification dictionary is built for use in profiling and targeting users for additional relevant content. Behavioral data is gathered from user activity, and user documents and actions are categorized. Author-generated document classification information is analyzed and assigned a first taxonomic noun to characterize the document. User-generated tags characterizing a portion of the document are assigned a second taxonomic noun. Search terms that resulted in the user accessing the document are identified and assigned a third taxonomic noun. Attributes related to the manner in which the document was accessed are evaluated and assigned a fourth taxonomic noun. The document is processed using pattern rules to extract a fifth taxonomic noun. The taxonomic nouns are aggregated into a composite set of taxonomic nouns, and the dynamic classification dictionary is build by storing the composite set of taxonomic nouns.

    • Users of electronic documents are classified for profiling and targeting of additional relevant content. Behavioral data is gathered from user registration information and user activity, and user documents and actions are categorized. Registration information is combined with collaborative and editorial data to provide user profile information. Author-generated document classification information is analyzed and assigned a first taxonomic noun to characterize the document. User-generated tags characterizing a portion of the document are assigned a second taxonomic noun. Search terms that resulted in the user accessing the document are identified and assigned a third taxonomic noun. Attributes related to how the document was accessed are evaluated and assigned a fourth taxonomic noun. The document is processed using pattern rules to extract a fifth taxonomic noun. • A catheter for use with at least two different sizes of wire guides is described. The catheter includes a wire guide lumen sized to receive a first wire guide of a first diameter. The catheter may also include a tip lumen that extends in a distal direction from a first opening in communication with the wire guide lumen to a second opening. The first opening is sized to receive the first wire guide, and the second opening is sized to receive a second wire guide of a smaller diameter than the first wire guide. The catheter also includes one or more longitudinal expansion features capable of radially expanding the tip lumen to receive a wire guide of a diameter up to the first diameter through the second opening. An adapter that may be attached to the catheter by a medical professional is also described.

    • A method and device for implantation into a curved vessel is described. The device may be a stent with a generally curved configuration in its radially expanded state. The stent may have a first series of linkages located along a first side of the stent and a second series of linkages located along a second side of the stent. Both series of linkages interconnect structural elements of the stent. During deployment of the stent into a vessel, the second series of linkages undergo longitudinal expansion sufficient to produce a stent having a longer second side than a first side. This difference in longitudinal length between the second side and first side of the stent creates a curved configuration which conforms to the curvature of the vessel which it is implanted into.

    • An introducer sheath has an inner fluorocarbon liner, a reinforcing member disposed radially outwardly from the liner, and a polymeric intermediate layer positioned longitudinally over the reinforcing member and inner liner. A heat shrink layer formed of a block copolymer having cross-linked and non-cross-linked functional groups comprises an outer layer of the sheath. During for of the introducer sheath, the intermediate layer is melted and compressed in the heat shrink layer in a manner such that the inner surface of the intermediate layer bonds to the outer surface of the inner liner through spacings of the reinforcing member, and the outer surface of the intermediate layer bonds with non-cross-linked active functional groups of the heat shrink layer.

    • The present invention provides a wire guide having a wire core and a braided sheath. The wire core includes a proximal end and distal end, wherein the braided sheath is attached to the distal end of the wire core and serves as a flexible pulling section. The braided sheath is woven of a plurality of strands and may be made of various material based on the application, such as stainless steel, a shape memory alloy, or a radiopaque material. The wire guide has a flexible tip at the proximal end opposite the flexible pulling section. A stiff section is provided between the flexible tip and the flexible pulling section to allow manipulation of the wire guide through a body lumen. Proximate the distal end of the wire core a tapered section is provided to increase flexibility of the wire guide toward the distal end. The braided sheath is received over and attached to the wire core. In addition, a shoulder is provided in the wire core providing a smooth transition from the wire core to the braided section. The braided sheath extends from the shoulder beyond the distal end of the wire core.
