    • An LCD section of a control panel displays an AUTO key and a manual key for adjusting the density of an image, and an AUTO key and a manual key (TRANSFER INTENSITY) for directly varying transfer biases. When the AUTO of the TRANSFER INTENSITY has been depressed, a printer CPU causes a transfer bias control section to perform a control to set the transfer biases from DC power supplies associated with respective colors at normal conditions in accordance with a print ratio or average reflectance of an original. When the manual key of the TRANSFER INTENSITY is set to the right side, the printer CPU increases stepwise the transfer biases in accordance with the setting. When the manual key is set to the left side, the printer CPU decreases stepwise the transfer biases in accordance with the setting.

    • The spray dryer comprises a rectangular upper body(1), a middle body(2) having a pair of side walls inclining inward and approaching mutually along larger side walls of the upper body, a rectangular bottom body(3), a ceiling board(4), a bottom plate(5), a vertical partition wall(6) for separating the upper body into a larger chamber(7) and a smaller chamber(8), and a gas stream dispersing perforated plate(14) disposed in a middle portion of the bottom body. The larger chamber(7) works as a spray drying zone and the upper half portion(17) of the bottom body works as a fluidized drying zone. Raw material fluid and hot gas are introduced downward into the larger chamber, and sprayed smaller size fluid particles are dried completely in the spray drying zone to have a low density, and enter to the lower bottom part of the smaller chamber with exhausted hot gas and turn upward to be discharged from outlet(13) disposed in an upper portion of the smaller chamber. Sprayed larger size fluid particles which are not completely dried in the larger chamber fall down to the fluidized drying zone and completely dried to have a low density, and then discharged together with the smaller size particles.

    • A method for forming a pigment containing film on a work-piece includes the steps of circulating coating liquid containing pigment through a circulation path, and pulverizing the pigment to disperse the pigment in the coating liquid during the circulating step. The method further includes the steps of dipping a work-piece in the coating liquid during the circulating step, and raising the work-piece from the coating liquid. An apparatus for forming a pigment containing film on a work-piece includes a coating tank, having an inflow portion and an overflow portion, for holding coating liquid containing pigment, and a circulation path having one end connected to the inflow portion of the coating tank and the other end connected to the overflow portion of the coating tank, for circulating the coating liquid. In the circulation path, a pulverizing device is arranged for pulverizing the pigment to disperse the pigment in the coating liquid and to cause the coating liquid to flow in the circulation path. The apparatus further includes a work-piece mounting device for dipping a work-piece in the coating liquid held in the coating tank and raising the work-piece from the coating liquid to form a pigment containing film on the work-piece during the circulating of the coating liquid along the circulation path. A coated medium includes a work-piece, and a film coated on the work-piece by dipping the work-piece in circulated coating liquid in which pigment has been dispersed using an impact pulverizing disperser.
