A drive gear of the developing unit is opposed to a drive gear of the side of a main body, and the drum cartridge that is attached causes the developing unit to be pushed, such that the drive gear of the developing unit meshes with the drive gear of the side of the main body. In addition, the opening or closing of a toner feeding device operates according to the opening or closing of the clamshell-type opening/closing unit.
