摘要： Polymer compositions derived from selected monoethylenically unsaturated (C3-C6)carboxylic acid monomers, (C1-C4)alkyl (meth)acrylate ester monomers and alkoxylated (meth)acrylate monomers used in certain weight ratios to provide enhanced detergent and cleaning performance are disclosed. Polymer compositions containing from 5 to 40% of monoethylenically unsaturated (C3-C6)carboxylic acid monomer, from 35 to 65% of (C1-C4)alkyl (meth)acrylate ester monomer and from 20 to 60% of alkoxylated (meth)acrylate monomer provide improved cleaning performance in laundry detergent formulations relative to conventional polymer compositions.

The amine sulfide terminal moieties are imparted by using amine-thiols as chain transfer agents in aqueous addition polymerizations.The polymers are useful as mineral dispersants, as water-treatment additives for boiler waters, cooling towers, reverse osmosis applications, sugar refining, paper production, geothermal processes and oil wells, and as detergent additives acting as builders, anti-filming agents, dispersants, sequestering agents and encrustation inhibitors.

摘要： This invention provides novel water-soluble terpolymers. These terpolymers contain as polymerized units(a) from about 92 to about 30 percent by weight of one or more C.sub.3 -C.sub.6 monoethylenically unsaturated carboxylic acids;(b) from about 5 to about 50 percent by weight of one or more aminoacryloyl derivatives; and(c) from about 3 to about 25 percent by weight of one or more monoethylenically unsaturated monomers polymerizable with (a) and (b). These terpolymers are useful in detergent formulations, particularly automatic machine dishwashing detergent formulations.

摘要： A combustor for use in a gas turbine engine is provided with a first wall defining a combustion zone; an outer casing partially defining a cooling plenum about the first wall; a second wall spaced apart from the first wall and defining together therewith a second plenum, the second wall bearing a plurality of perforations for passing fluid from the first plenum in impinging streams upon the first wall; and a plurality of ribs extending between the first and second walls and compartmentalizing the second plenum. The ribs add substantial stiffness to the combustor as well as providing for independently controlled cooling of the substantially isolated compartments formed thereby. The impinging streams provided by the perforations in the second wall substantially increase local fluid velocities and conductive heat transfer.
