摘要： A method and apparatus for welding ends of two separate articles or a single article to form a single welded article. The apparatus comprises first and second molds for supporting and clamping first and second ends of at least one article and an infrared heating element for thermally energizing over a prescribed period of time the first and second ends of the at least one article to a welding condition. The apparatus further comprises a regulator for altering the power supplied for energizing the infrared heater over at least a portion of the prescribed period of time to achieve increased electromagnetic radiation penetration into the body of the at least one article beyond the first and second ends. The apparatus also comprises an actuator for advancing the first and second ends into a contacting position to form a single welded article.

摘要： A method and apparatus for welding two separate ends of an extrusion or two separate extrusion ends to form a flashless extrudate or gasket by having a first and a second mold for supporting and clamping the extrusion ends, and a spacer bar for positioning the extrusion ends to a location within the mold. A heating element elevates the temperature of the extrusion ends to a welding condition, and a clamping device is used for securing the extrusion ends. A flashless welding operation results by inserting and clamping at least one heated extrusion end into a welding mold until an acceptable contact pressure is obtained against the opposing heated extrusion end.

摘要： The invention involves a T-post bracket allowing rapid and easy attachment of bracing T-posts to stanchion T-posts for fencing, trellis, or similar applications, and/or rapid and easy attachment of gates or other swinging structures to stanchion T-posts affixed to the bracket. The bracket has one end wherein a stanchion insertion space is provided between a stop member and a pair of retaining tabs, and insertion of a stanchion engagement fastener (e.g., a pin) engages the stanchion within the stanchion insertion space. Engagement legs may extend from the retaining tabs, and a bracing T-post may be fit between the engagement legs and pinned therein by insertion of brace engagement fasteners. Additionally or alternatively, a hinge post may extend from the bracket from a point about the stanchion insertion space, preferably from the stop member, to allow hanging of a gate or other swinging structure from the hinge post (and thus from a stanchion situated within the stanchion insertion space).

摘要： An annular gasket for providing a fluid-tight seal between a corrugated pipe and a smooth annular section of a second member. The gasket includes a support portion and a gasket portion. The support portion is made from a first material having a first hardness. The support portion includes an anchor portion shaped to fit within a recess or groove in a first member and a tip portion that extends radially outward from the anchor portion. The gasket portion is made from a softer elastomeric material. The gasket portion is disposed on the tip portion. The gasket portion is configured to make sealing contact with a ridge of the first pipe and the smooth annular section when the first pipe and the smooth annular section are in a relative surrounded and surrounding relationship.
