摘要： A burst fire device makes it possible, by means of an appropriate fire selector, to fire either a single shot or controlled bursts comprising three or more shots every time the trigger of the firearm is pulled. The mechanism includes a ratchet wheel (3) pivoted on the receiver (4) of the firearm and having a plurality of trip teeth (24), (25), (26) corresponding to the number of shots to be fired with a burst. The whole movement of the ratchet wheel (3), and as a result the operation of the mechanism, is based on the direct contact of the trigger (1) against the ratchet wheel (3), which contact is provided exclusively by the pressure exerted by the operator's finger.

Other features include capability for ambidextrous operation, the use of two magazines each located in a separate handgrip and an improved muzzle brake configuration. In addition, an improved ejector and magazine catch assembly are provided. The firearm of the present invention employs fewer moving parts so as to require no pins or screws for the trigger, sear, bolt guide or bolt stop.

摘要： A machine gun pistol is described, which can be reliably switched between semi and full automatic modes by an operator holding the gun in a natural two-hand grip. The gun includes a bolt (20, FIG. 1) and a firing pin device (22) that each slide longitudinally, a trigger assembly with a primary sear (28) that is depressed by the trigger for semiautomatic operation, and an auto control member (34) that can be depressed to switch to full automatic operation. When the control member is depressed, it connects a secondary sear (36) with the primary sear. The bolt carries a cam (40) that depresses the secondary sear (36) every time the bolt moves forward, to thereby repeatedly depress the primary sear (28) when the two sears are connected during automatic operation. The control member (34) is operated by depressing it into the frame, to avoid errors in the heat of battle. The depressable control member (34, FIG. 2) lies on the right side of the gun, forward of the trigger (14), so that when the left hand (L) is used to also hold the gun, the fingers of the left hand can feel and depress the control member.

摘要： A belt-fed, gas-operated automatic weapon of a type in which the gas pressure developed in the barrel bore during firing is ported just forward of the barrel chamber to be utilized to compress a system of opposing spring sets which in turn operate the various mechanisms involved in the automatic or semi-automatic functioning of the weapon, including ammunition feeding and ejection, bolt locking and unlocking, and reciprocation. Dual power cylinders with symmetrically arranged pistons operated by the gas pressure compress all of the springs in the opposing spring sets by engagement with a sliding carriage. The forces exerted on the bolt locking mechanism by the spring sets are greatly reduced during the interval in which the locking mechanism is operated to reduce wear on the mating surfaces and to properly sequence the unlocking after discharging a round. Manual actuation of the weapon is also enabled with an automatic latching of the bolt in the retracted position upon manual actuation and also upon full depression of a selector lever and release of the trigger during automatic fire such that the bolt remains in the retracted position upon cessation of fire to allow cooling of the breech and/or feeding of a fresh ammunition belt. A particular interlinked ammunition belt is disclosed to advance rounds carried by the belt through the weapon as well as an arrangement for separating each link from the belt after passing through the weapon.

摘要： A self-loading pistol includes a spring-loaded firing pin located within a breech assembly and having a downwardly projecting nose engageable with a sear coupled to a trigger and movable generally parallel to the breech for at least part of its movement to displace the firing pin within the breech and thereafter to release the striker pin on continuing movement of the trigger thereby firing the shot. The pistol may also be provided with a catch pawl having a stop face which catches and releases the nose part when the pistol is arranged for continuous firing. In this case however the pistol must be fitted to a shoulder support which embodies means co-acting with the catch pawl to allow it to come into the operative position so that continuous firing is only possible when the shoulder support is in position.
