摘要： A sports ball having a high-performance cover formed from a plurality of panels with attached foam backing. The panels may be stitched together at stitch lines which are 2-4 mm from the edges of each of the panels. During manufacturing, before compression is applied, foam attached to outer layers for each of the panels may be a distance 2-6 mm away from the stitch lines. Foam attached on the inside of the sports ball may provide support and a robust round shape for manufacturing of a high performance sports ball.

摘要： A stitcher (1) for connecting strips of rubber material (4, 5) into a substantially continuous strip according to this invention comprises a surface (3), a stitching head (6) placed over it having a stitch unit (7) for stitching the strips of rubber material together along a stitch line, which stitch line includes an angle α having a longitudinal direction (L) of the continuous strip, a drive mechanism for driving a relative movement of the stitching head with respect to the surface along a first (X) and a second (Y) direction, wherein the second direction is oriented transverse to the first direction, and a control device (11) for controlling the drive mechanism such that the stitch unit follows the stitch line. In one embodiment the stitching head is rotatably connected to the drive mechanism wherein the axis of rotation extends transverse to the surface. The stitching head furthermore comprises a wheel (15) that is placed at a distance from the axis of rotation, wherein the wheel with its tread abuts the surface.

摘要： A cloth stuffed toy has a cloth body and a PU stuffing formed by a polyurethane foam material fully filled in and adhered to the cloth body. A method for producing the cloth stuffed toy has a cloth body preparing step, a polyurethane foam material filling step and a foaming process performing step. As the PU stuffing is securely bonded to the cloth body and is not easily fragmented, the cloth stuffed toy has advantages in providing a safety stuffed toy. Besides, in the foaming process of the polyurethane foam material, the polyurethane foam material spontaneously and extensively spreads inside the cloth body to facilitate stuffing the body effectively.

摘要： A method for producing single- or multi-layered fiber preforms by the TFP process with fiber strands, aligned substantially to be oriented with the flux of force, laid on a backing layer and attached by fixing threads, to form a fiber preform with a desired material thickness and without a backing layer. A release layer is applied at least in certain regions to the backing layer and, after completion of the TFP process, the fiber preform is introduced into a fixing device, in which at least some of the fixing threads are melted. Subsequently the backing layer, separated from the fiber preform by the release layer, is detached from the fiber preform. The fiber preforms have a virtually optimum fiber structure without flaws along with a desired material thickness and are predestined for the production of composite components for load-bearing components that must withstand high mechanical loads.

The nozzle assembly may further comprise a base for mounting the integral nozzle unit alignment plate, and a linear actuator connected to the base for moving the base along a linear path from a first, operating position to a second, standby position. The nozzle may be oriented to avoid visually obstructing the article receiving air flow. The nozzle may be attached to a seam sealing machine and may discharge a heated air stream of sufficient temperature to melt seam sealing tape adhesive backing to adhere such tape to fabric, and the nozzle assembly may further include a thermocouple assembly attached to the integral nozzle unit for measuring the air stream temperature near the point of discharge from the nozzle.

摘要： Rigidifiable composites are formed by stitching a reinforced B-stage resin sheet stock to form a three-dimensional preform. The preform is subsequently rigidified by initiating final cure of the resin. Molded articles, inflatable and other structures, such as, tank, tunnel and sewer liners are some of the typical structures which can be formed by the methods of the invention. Control of thread count, thread tension and thread spacing can be used to consolidate multi-ply or layered preforms, which, upon cure, can have up to 90% of the load carrying capacity of compression molded fiber reinforced articles.
