摘要： A machining apparatus has a vertical support frame defining two machining stations spaced apart in a direction, holders in the stations for rotating respective workpieces each about a respective station axis, and a transfer device for loading rough workpieces into the holders and for taking finished workpieces out of the holders. A single machining tool can be shifted in the direction between one position engaging the workpiece in one of the stations and out of engagement with the workpiece in the other of the stations and another position engaging the workpiece in the other station and out of engagement with the workpiece in the one station.

A plurality of machine tool receptacles are defined in the multiple machine tool support block and each is adapted for support of a machine tool therein. Tool retainer members are carried by the multiple machine tool support block for each of the machine tool receptacles and has retaining engagement with a machine tool located within a machine tool receptacle. Coolant passages within the multiple machine tool support block have a coolant supply inlet in fluid communication with the coolant fluid outlet of the coolant fluid supplying tool post.

摘要： In order to improve a machine tool comprising a machine frame with an underframe and a machine column seated on this and having a support ring, a support mounted on the support ring for rotation about an essentially vertical axis, several workpiece receiving chucks for workpieces to be machined arranged on the support, an operating area extending around the vertical axis, and a plurality of stations arranged on the machine frame in the region of the operating area, the workpiece receiving chucks being positionable in these stations during a machining cycle, such that the machine frame has as great a rigidity as possible with as expedient a construction as possible it is suggested that the machine column have a reinforcement casing fixing the support ring in relation to the underframe, this casing extending outside the operating area and surrounding it at least partially, that the reinforcement casing comprise casing supporting structure elements which are located in a casing surface extending around the vertical axis, absorb forces acting in this casing surface and transferred from the support ring in a manner rigid against deformation and are connected with one another to form a casing surface supporting structure rigid against deformation.

摘要： Apparatus for forming complex shapes in work of large dimensions, including a turn table on which a support for a tool mount is mounted slideable in a horizontal slide. The tool mount has a turret which may be circular or polyganol or any other suitable shape with tools extending from its periphery. The tool mount is mounted in the tool-mount support slideable in a vertical slide. Drives are provided for rotating the turn table, for changing the position of the tool-mount support horizontally along the horizontal slide, for changing the position of the tool mount vertically along the vertical slide and for rotating the turret. The selection and positioning of the tool may thus be predetermined. The work is mounted on a fixture over the turn table so that any selected ones of the tools extending from the turret can be positioned in cutting engagement with the work. The drives are controlled or programmed in accordance with a predetermined program preset in a numerical control unit or by a tracer following a template to form the complex shapes.
