摘要： A system for holding a pattern and a material or fabric to be cut in place upon a mat has at least one holding means or pin weight for maintaining the positioning of the pattern relative to the material to be cut and a storage means facilitating the stacking of a plurality of the pin weights. The pin weights comprise a body, attachment means formed upon the body for attaching the body to the mat, and registration means formed upon the body to facilitate stacking of a plurality of such pin weights. The storage means comprises a plurality of posts, each post being of a different diameter to facilitate stacking of a plurality of pin weights having different sized central openings formed therethrough. Each pin weight preferably comprises a generally circular body, having a generally circular central opening formed therethrough and a plurality of pins extending downwardly therefrom. The caddy also has a holder for receiving and conveniently storing a cutter. The cutter is stored such that its handle is conveniently graspable to remove the cutter from the holder. The holder preferably orients the cutter handle at an angle of approximately forty-five degrees to the horizontal. The caddy has a base upon which the posts and holder are attachable such that the posts and holder may be removed therefrom to facilitate substantially flat packing of the caddy for storage and transportation.

摘要： A laminate consisting of a number of air-permeable sheets of a material is placed on the supporting surface of a table, and a major portion of the periphery of the laminate, inclusive of a lower surface thereof, is covered with a sheet impermeable to air. A suction pipe is arranged on the supporting surface along at least one side surface of the laminate and has a suction port faced toward the one side surface. A periheral portion of the suction port is covered with the air-impermeable sheet, and the laminate is compressed in the direction of its thickness by evacuating air from within a space defined by the air-impermeable sheet by vacuum producing means connected to the suction pipe. The air-impermeable sheet and laminate can be moved together with the suction pipe in parallel relation to the supporting surface, and they can be stopped at a desired position, during the evacuation process.

摘要： A workpiece holder for sewing the tip areas of neckties comprises a lower plate and a central folding device between which a lining cut and a necktie material cut are arranged. The center folding device has folding plates which can be displaced transversely with respect to the longitudinal direction and which, when moving together, draw in the material fullness in the necktie cut and gather it in a central fold. Lateral seams are sewn after the sewing of outer seams in the tip area of the cuts. In order to achieve a parallel retraction of the outer seams on the finished necktie, there is arranged between the lower plate and center folding device a longitudinal displacing device which comprises a clamping plate for clamping the lining cut on the lower plate and a longitudinal sliding plate which is displaceable towards the lower plate and by means of which, following the sewing of the outer seams, the material fullness of the necktie cut gathered in the central fold is drawn out in such a manner that the outer seams undergo parallel retraction.

The fabric web sections are consecutively impaled on at least one height-adjustable needle row projecting through a stacking table transversely of the fabric running direction, the cutting pattern is laid upon the stacking table, at least two longitudinally adjustable needle rows are aligned in the longitudinal direction of the table to coincide with edge portions of the cuttings to be joined to one another in finishing said textile product. The fabric web sections are then impaled on mutually correlated needle rows along identical transverse lines of the fabric pattern repeat.A stacking table for carrying out the above method and including a table top provided with openings for the needle rows and a height-adjustable transverse support for the needles below said table top. The table top consists of table top strips extending in the running direction of the fabric and defining slots for said needles between themselves, and transverse supports for the needles are located below the table top in a manner enabling them to be shifted in running direction and locked in any desired position.

摘要： A method and apparatus for joining crinoline to drapery material to provide a stiffening for pleats.The method consists of laying the drapery material face down on a table where it is secured by clamping devices at opposite ends so as to maintain the material in a stationary position.The joining apparatus is activated to move across the edge of the drapery material which is to undergo the crinoline-bonding step. A feed roll dispenses a crinoline strip and, simultaneously, a second feed roll dispenses an adhesive filament which is interfed between the said crinoline and said drapery material. A preheater directs warm air over the crinoline immediately prior to its emplacement upon the material, whereupon, a heat wheel follows to apply heat and pressure to the combined layers of material, tape and crinoline so as to liquify the adhesive and cause it to spread so that it joins the crinoline and the material in a permanent bond.Also, in addition to preheating the crinoline, the material is preheated to afford a more rapid and effective seal.A cutter and cutter guide follow the heat wheel in a slotted track whereupon the excess of joined material and crinoline are cut off to provide a proper finish.
