摘要： A communication device, such as a Voice over Internet Protocol (VoIP) gateway, determines a duration for Dual Tone Multi-Frequency (DTMF) tone portions of telephony signal. If the duration is less than a pre-determined amount, a minimum duration is enforced during DTMF playback at a remote end of a network connection connected to a destination gateway. Minimum playback duration can be enforced at the terminating gateway—however, the originatinggateway can also encode a DTMF packet with a minimum duration value. At the terminating receiver it is not always possible to playback exactly what happened at the originating point in the same time frame. One solution to is to, at the terminating gateway, drop the first portion of voice packets that overlap with the end portion of played back DTMF tones.

A transmission entity can transmit overhead data in an overhead section and transmit payload data of a service in a payload section, wherein the transmission entity is configured to relocate information content of operational bits of the service transmitted in the payload section to an eoc channel provided in the overhead section.

摘要： Systems and methods for coordinating the interoperability of devices with varying capabilities are disclosed. A host device may inquire as to the capabilities of a storage device in a storage network. A routing device may receive this response, and if the routing device has a higher capability than the storage device the routing device may convert the response to a response that reflects the higher capabilities of the routing device before sending the response on to the host. However, if the storage device has a higher capability than the routing device, the routing device may pass the response through to the host unaltered so the host may take advantage of the capabilities of the storage device. Alternatively, the router may convert the response to a response that reflects the lower capabilities of the routing device before sending the response on to the host.

摘要： A fast and scalable pattern making engine is presented. The engine represents variations on a Shift-And method capable of matching patterns in data streams having high speed data rates. In one aspect of the invention high speed is achieved by accessing the pattern RAM in parallel. In another aspect, the input is likened to TDM and individual slots or channels are accessed separately. The two aspects can also be combined to provide a scalable and high speed pattern matching engine. The engine is adaptable to streams of known length or more complex expressions such as regular expressions with arbitrary length.
