摘要： A broadcast receiving apparatus in the present invention includes: a first audio data characteristics extracting unit extracting a first soundless period and first interval information from first audio data included in the first service; a second audio data characteristics extracting unit extracting a second soundless period and second interval information from second audio data included in the second service; a simulcast determining unit determining whether or not the broadcast waves are simulcast by comparing the first interval information with the second interval information; and a broadcasting switching control unit switching between (i) the output of the audio data and the video data included in the first service and (ii) the output of the audio data and the video data included in the second service based on a result of the determination by the simulcast determining unit.

摘要： A method of generating a program signal stream comprises creating a sequence of serial programs that include a first event and a second, later occurring event and inserting a plurality of messages in the sequence of serial programs, between the first event and the 5 second event. The messages may be indicative of a time to the second event, as measured from each respective message of an elapsed time since the first event, to each respective message. Alternatively or in addition, the messages may be at equal time intervals between the first event and second events. The first and second events may be the start and end of a program or a program portion, such as a chapter, an advertisement, unscheduled content or an 10 entire program, for example. At least one message indicative of the time to the second event may be inserted in the sequence of serial programs prior to the first event.

摘要： First and second signal processing units are each configured by an IC, so that the circuit space occupying in a receiver apparatus can be reduced. The signal path can be shortened from a BPF section inputting a program signal coming from a broadcasting station to a demodulation section compared with the related art. The transmission loss on the signal path can be thus reduced compared with the related art. The possible route for noise entering from the outside to the first and second signal processing units can be made as short as possible. This enables to reduce the noise entering from the outside, and prevents the signals coming over the signal path from being attenuated by the noise so that the signal reception sensitivity can be increased.
