    • A multi-path switching configuration provides independent switching of multiple circuit paths. In a preferred arrangement, a plurality of circuit interrupters have one end connected in common with each other and a second end providing a circuit path connection. An operating facility is arranged to independently operate the circuit interrupters via an operating member operatively connected to a respective circuit interrupter and controlling the respective interrupting path. Two or more of the operating members are moved to selectively provide desired connections of circuit paths.

    • A switch assembly includes a base, a flat spring, a switch, and an actuating member. The base includes a central channel. The flat spring may be pivotally secured to a portion of the base. The switch is proximate the flat spring, and is configured to selectively open and close a circuit, such as an ignition circuit of a vehicle. The actuating member is positioned through the central channel and abuts the flat spring. The actuating member is configured to be engaged toward the flat spring in order to activate the switch, wherein movement of the actuating member in a first direction causes the flat spring to move in a second direction into the switch to activate the switch. The first direction may be perpendicular to the second direction.

    • This publication discloses a switching device combination for capacitive loads (3) connected to a direct voltage. The switching device combination includes an actual switch component (1) for connecting voltage to the capacitive load (3), a charging switch component (2) for connecting charging voltage to the capacitive load in the initial stage, which charging switch component is dimensioned for a lower current than the actual switch component (1), a controller component (4), by means of which the actual switch component (1) is controlled from an open state to a closed state and vice versa, with the aid of a mechanical lever (5), which is connected to a first shaft (6), and delay elements (11) for delaying the connection of the actual switch component (1), so that the closed charging switch component (2) will have time to charge the capacitive load (3) before the connection of the actual switch component (1). According to the invention, the controller component (4) includes a second shaft (7), which is operationally connected to the first shaft, in order to control the charging switch component (2).

    • An electric power interrupter with an internal contactor that is suitable for use as a line and load switch constructed from light weight materials including a fiberglass or composite insulator and aluminum flanges. The light weight design feature allows the power interrupter to be supported above a standard disconnect switch insulator without having to replace or reinforce the insulator. The power interrupter also includes a latch mechanism with a low-force trip action, such as a spring-driven toggle mechanism that accelerates the internal contactor to break the electric power circuit on the opening stroke. This low-force trip action allows the power interrupter to be actuated by a standard disconnect switch operating mechanism without having to upgrade or augment the standard operating mechanism. For these reasons, the power interrupter may be installed as a retrofit upgrade to an existing standard disconnect switch without having to modify the underlying disconnect switch.

    • A tact switch (1) includes a housing (10), a plurality of fixed contacts (20) retained to the housing, a movable contact (30), an actuator (40), a pivot piece (50) and a top cover (60) mounted onto the housing. The top cover has at least one support arm (64). The movable contact is positioned between the fixed contacts and the top cover. The actuator has an operating portion (42) and a press portion (44). When the operating portion is pressed, the press portion depresses the engaging portion to deflect the engaging portion downwardly to depress the movable contact, and the movable contact elastically deforms downwardly to electrically connect the plurality of fixed contacts to each other.
