    • A system for handling gates and the like including a dual-effect hydraulic actuator with a stem traversing one of its chambers and a supply circuit controlled with oil which alternately moves the oil between the actuator chambers for an ‘opening’ or ‘closing’ movement. The circuit includes a pump for transfer of the oil between the chambers through piloted locking one-way valves, an oil tank and two one-way suction valves each connected between the tank and one of the two sides of the pump for allowing suction from the tank of the lacking oil. The suction valve connected from the side of the pump opposite the actuator chamber not traversed by the stem is a one-way valve controlled in such a manner as to open thanks to an overpressure on the hydraulic circuit branch which is for supply of the actuator chamber traversed by the stem. In this manner the oil in excess during movement of the actuator which is caused by transfer of the oil from the stemless chamber to the chamber with stem is dumped into the tank.

    • In an hydraulic operating arrangement the working chambers (3, 4) of a double-acting working cylinder (1) are connected respectively by way of one reciprocally unlockable check valve (8, 9) with respectively one side of a reversible pressure medium source (11). The respective working chamber (3, 4) under pressure is connected with a joint, controllable proportional pressure regulating valve (15) for pressure control. On its exit side the proportional pressure regulating valve is connected with the pressure medium lines (6, 7) by way of respectively one check valve (18, 19) that opens in the direction of the pressure medium lines (6, 7), in particular between the corresponding unlockable check valves (8, 9) and the respectively belonging working chamber (3, 4) of the working cylinder (1). This way the system pressure is easily controlled by way of the proportional pressure regulating valve, and the pressure medium that is directed away is returned from the exit side of the proportional pressure regulating valve (15) directly to the pressure medium cycle and to the aspirating side of the working cylinder, thus making a simple apparatus and safe operation possible.

In addition, an AND valve is provided, having a first and a second entry port and an exit port. The entry ports of the AND valve are connected here respectively to the first and the second exit port of the control valve assembly. The exit port of the AND valve forms a third exit port for controlling one or more following actuators of the hydraulic control unit.

    • A purification apparatus for removing gases and water from a fluid in a system, including a tank which has an expansion chamber for fluid in the system. A pump pumps the fluid in a circulation circuit of which the purification apparatus is an integral part. A closed chamber has a fluid-free upper part and contains a level-sensing device which controls flow of fluid to the closed chamber.
