摘要： An integrated in-line electric motor/hydraulic pump that includes a pump housing having a pair of end members mounted at opposed ends of the housing. An electric motor includes a rotor on a shaft journalled between the end members and a stator surrounding the rotor within the housing. A pump inlet opens into the interior of the housing. First and second vane pump cartridges are integrated into one of the end members. Each vane pump cartridge includes a rotor coupled to the shaft, and a plurality of vane carried by the rotor to engage a vane cam ring that surrounds the rotor, which defines at least one pumping cavity between the cam ring and the rotor. A vane pump inlet passage within the one end member extends between and operatively couples the housing interior to the pumping cavities of both the first and second vane pump cartridges for feeding fluid from the housing interior to both cartridges in parallel. A vane pump discharge is also carried by the one end member and operatively coupled to both of the pumping cavities in parallel.

摘要： Overheating of a process liquid retained in a reservoir of a multiphase pump during extended gas slugs is avoided by circulating a cooling liquid in thermal contact with a process liquid through an external cooling apparatus, which can include a heat exchanger. In some embodiments, process liquid from the reservoir is circulated through the cooling loop, while in other embodiments a separate cooling liquid is circulated between a reservoir heat exchanger and the external cooling apparatus. The liquid in the cooling loop can be circulated by a separate cooling pump, or process liquid can be circulated through the cooling loop due to a pressure differential between an inlet and an outlet of the cooling loop within the multiphase pump. The multiphase pump can be a twin screw pump, and the reservoir can be formed between outer and inner casings of the multiphase pump.

摘要： A motor lead extends alongside an electrical pump assembly for supplying electrical power to the motor. The motor lead has electrical power wires positioned side-by-side in a sub assembly. Each of the electrical power wires has an electrical conductor encased in an insulation layer, which in turn is encased in a lead sheath. A metallic band armor wraps around the sub assembly. A thermal barrier layer is located between an inward facing side of the sub assembly and the pump assembly. The thermal barrier layer is formed of thermal insulation material and has a width at least equal to a width of the sub assembly. The motor lead is free of any thermal barrier layers on the outward facing side of the sub assembly to as to allow heat within the sub assembly to dissipate outward.

The storage space stores the liquid to be taken into the pump mechanism or the liquid to be discharged to outside of the container after being expelled from the pump mechanism. The liquid supply passage is a flow path including an inlet open to the storage space and supplying the liquid stored in the storage space to the bearing.

摘要： Embodiments of the invention provide a system and method for induction heating a helical rotor of a progressing cavity pump in order to reduce the surface roughness of the rotor. In order to heat the rotor most evenly, it is desired to space the coil as closely around the rotor as possible. The invention provides a mechanism for threading the helical rotor through an induction coil having an interior diameter which is less than the major diameter of the rotor. The induction coil may include one loop and overlapping ends. The rotor to be heated is rotated about its longitudinal axis and advanced axially through the coil as it rotates. The axial speed and rotational speed are synchronized so that the rotor moves one pitch through the coil for each complete rotation.
