摘要： A grapple apparatus may comprise at least one grapple arm movable between an open and a closed position, and having a proximal arm portion and a distal arm portion. The apparatus may include a primary actuator having extended and retracted conditions to move the proximal arm portion, and a secondary actuator having extended and retracted conditions to move the distal arm portion. The primary actuator may be configured such that an initial rate of movement of the primary actuator from the extended condition toward the retracted condition is slower than an initial rate of movement of the secondary actuator from the extended condition toward the retracted condition to produce substantially complete movement of the distal arm portion of the at least one grapple arm toward the open position before movement of the proximal arm portion toward the open position is initiated.

摘要： A drive apparatus for a grab device comprising two grab arms, which can be moved like pincers, preferably for a two bucket grab, consists of two hydraulic pivot motors whose shaft journals of the pivot shaft projecting over the motor housing carry the grab arms. Each of the pivot motors has a cylindrical tube piece which is provided at its inner wall with a section which is provided with an internal thread and which is in engagement with a section of the pivot shaft provided with an external thread. The tube piece is a ring piston axially displaceable in but held non-rotatably in a cylinder space formed in one of the housings. The pitch of the threads is so large that the ring piston is able to give the pivot shafts the required torque by its axial displacement. The displacement path of the ring piston between the two annular cylinder chambers, which are alternatively high and low pressure chambers which can be loaded with hydraulic oil, corresponds to the desired pivot angle of the two buckets.

Each bucket half includes a pair of spaced side walls and an end wall extending between the side walls which together forms a scoop for each bucket half. The bucket halves are pivotally secured together so that the scoops face each other and are movable between an open position in which the scoops are spaced apart from each other and a closed position in which the scoops space each other and form a load carrying chamber. The side walls of the bucket half overlap each other upon closure to minimize the spillage of the load out through the sides of the bucket during a scooping operation. Furthermore, a flap valve is mounted to an upper side of at least one of the bucket halves to allow water and air to freely escape from the interior chamber of the bucket as the bucket is lowered. This valve, however, prevents spillage of the load from the interior of the bucket.
