摘要： A flexible polyurethane foam is produced by blending a polyurethane raw material containing a polyol, a polyisocyanate, a blowing agent, and a catalyst with an inorganic compound hydrate having a specific gravity of 1.5 to 4.0 and reacting the above polyurethane raw material to effect foaming and curing. The inorganic compound hydrate is preferably an iron sulfate hydrate, a calcium sulfate hydrate, or a magnesium sulfate hydrate. The above inorganic compound hydrate preferably has decomposition temperature of from 100 to 170° C. Then, an increase in exothermic temperature owing to the above foaming and curing is diminished by evaporation of water formed through decomposition of the above inorganic compound hydrate.

摘要： A process for the production of extruded sheets of expanded polystyrene, which only uses expanding agents with low environmental impact, comprising the steps of: a) heating polystyrene or a mixture composed of polystyrene and at least one component selected from the group consisting flame retardants, coloring agents, plasticizers, heat stabilizers and lubricants at a temperature in the range of 180-2500 C thus obtaining a polymer melt, which is subjected to homogenization; b) adding to the polymer melt a mixture of expanding agents comprising carbon dioxide and water; c) homogenizing the polymer melt including said expanding agents; d) homogeneously cooling the polymer melt to a temperature lower than or equal to 1400 C; e) extruding the cooled polymer melt through a die to obtain an expanded polystyrene sheet.

摘要： Polymeric composite materials, particularly highly filled polyurethane composite materials are described herein. Such highly filled polyurethane composite materials may be formed by reaction and extrusion of one or more polyols, one or more di- or poly-isocyanates, and from about 45 to about 85 weight percent of inorganic filler such as fly ash. Certain polyols, including plant-based polyols can be used. Certain composite materials also contain chain extenders and/or crosslinkers. The polyurethane composite material may also contain fibers such as chopped or axial fibers which further provide good mechanical properties to the composite material. Shaped articles containing the polyurethane composite material have been found to have good mechanical properties, such that the shaped articles are suitable for building applications.
