C. or the flocculation point is adjusted to from 20.degree. to 98.degree. C. with the aid of additives, and drying is carried out by thin-layer drying in a temperature range above the flocculation point.

The composition may be combined with one or more suitable excipients and prepared as a unit dosage in the form of a compressed tablet, filled capsule, packet, or granule for various defoaming applications.
