摘要： A coating composition is based on a polyester mixed with an alkyl-etherified melamine formaldehyde. The coating composition is partially cured in a first stage to provide a thermoformable partially cured, tack-free, non-blocking, coating layer, followed by application to generally a contoured substrate and thermoforming to conform thereto. The contoured partially cured coating layer is then heat cured to form a cured coating. A hydroxyl-terminated polyoxetane containing repeat units derived from oxetane monomers having one or two pendent —CH2—O—(CH2)n—Rf groups, wherein Rf is partially or fully fluorinated, can be esterified with polyester-forming reactants to form a fluorinated polyoxetane-modified polyester.

摘要： A highly optically clear, composite film has a predominantly thermoplastic polyester base layer of A/B/C-layered structure and a polyester and polyurethane blend primer layer Preferably core layer B of the base layer is substantially particle-free polyester and outer layers A and C include organic and/or inorganic particles. The primer layer is crosslinked using a carbodiimide crosslinking agent. The primer layer and base layer composite can be laminated with a protective layer of primarily acrylic polymer for a solar control film. Functional additives, such as UV light blockers can be present in layers of the composite and solar control films. The primer layer combination of polyurethane and crosslinking by carbodiimide, provides the acrylic coated polyester solar control film with notably reduced iridescence and durable adhesion between polyester and acrylic layers in moist and warm service conditions.

摘要： A method of manufacturing a multilayer or a monolayer plastic container is disclosed. The container has a barrier layer manufactured from (i) a polyester resin, preferably an aromatic polyester resin such as a polyethylene terephthalate, (ii) a polyamide material, preferably an aromatic polyamide material, and (iii) an oxygen scavenging material, preferably a transition method. The present invention also provides containers having a multilayer or a monolayer body. In the preparation of the barrier layer. a preform first is prepared by an injection-molding process wherein a preblend containing a diluent polyester, polyamide material, and an oxygen scavenging material is added to a base polyester during the injection molding process. The preform then is expanded to form a container.

The method according to the present invention is a method of producing a plastic bottle comprising 0.005 to 0.025 parts by mass of a 1,2-benzisothiazol-3(2H)-one 1,1-dioxide compound with respect to 100 parts by mass of a polyester resin, the method comprising preparing a masterbatch containing 0.01 to 0.5 parts by mass of the above-described 1,2-benzisothiazol-3(2H)-one 1,1-dioxide compound with respect to 100 parts by mass of the polyester resin, subsequently mixing the masterbatch and polyester resin to produce a mixture, and molding the mixture into the shape of a bottle. Further, it is preferred that the above-described polyester resin be a polyethylene terephthalate resin.

摘要： The present invention provides a method of manufacturing high-melting-tension heat-resistant transparent or opaque sheets, boards, and molds from polyethylene terephthalate (PET). The method is characterized in that a mixture of: (1) PET polyester whose melt flow rate (MFR) is 45-130 g/10 minutes (a); (2) coupling agent master batch (f) comprising coupling agent (d) and substrate (e), wherein coupling agent (d) is a mixture of compounds containing 2 epoxy groups (b) and compounds containing 3 or more epoxy groups (c); and (3) catalyst master batch (i) comprising coupling reaction catalyst (g) and substrate (h); is melted in a reaction-extruder to give PET polyester whose MFR is 40 g/10 minutes or less. The resulting PET polyester is molded into amorphous sheets or boards, and then heated again to a predetermined temperature to give transparent heat-resistant sheets or boards; or then vacuum-, pressure-, or vacuum-pressure-formed following heat-setting to give transparent heat-resistant or white opaque highly-heat-resistant mould articles.
