    • An expandable polyurethane composition contains (A) a polyisocyanate, (B) an active hydrogen containing compound containing (B1) a polyol and (B2) water, and (C) a cross-linking agent composition. The cross-linking agent composition (C) contains a cross-linking agent (C1) and a carboxylic acid (C2). The cross-linking agent (C1) can be selected from an alkanolamine (a) represented by an expression: HxR1yN((R2O)nH)3-x-y, and an aminosilane (b) represented by an expression: (R3O)qR43-qSi—R5—(NHCH2CH2)pNR6R7. A content of the cross-linking agent composition (C) is 0.1 parts by mass to 20 parts by mass relative to 100 parts by mass of the active hydrogen containing compound (B), and the containing number of moles of the cross-linking agent (C1) is larger than that of the carboxylic acid (C2). It is possible to delay a reaction without deteriorating a final reactivity, to suppress viscosity increasing just after an injection into a mold, to improve hardness and to attain lowering of a pressure to be applied to a cell communication.

    • A stable and high-solids aqueous dispersion of blocked isocyanates, containing auxiliary solvent, is prepared by (1) preparing a solution of a polyisocyanate mixture of from 20-70% by weight of a blocked, hydrophilically modified polyisocyanate (A) and from 30-80% by weight of a blocked, hydrophobic polyisocyanate (B) in an auxiliary solvent (G) and (2) adding water to this solution, with intensive mixing, in an amount which is such as to give a two-phase system comprising a disperse polyisocyanate phase and a continuous, aqueous phase containing auxiliary solvent. In a preferred embodiment of the invention dispersions are prepared which are virtually free from auxiliary solvent, by first adding a portion of water to the solution (1), substantially removing the auxiliary solvent with intensive mixing and then adding a second portion of water with intensive mixing to the mixture comprising the polyisocyanates (A) and (B) and the first portion of water.

    • A low-monomer PU prepolymer containing free NCO groups which is obtained from polyhydric alcohols and diisocyanates differing in their reactivity and which is distinguished by the ratio of the NCO groups of the partly slower-reacting diisocyanate to the NCO groups of the faster-reacting diisocyanate. It is greater than 6:1. Nevertheless the prepolymer according to the invention cures more quickly than a known prepolymer predominantly containing fast-reacting NCO groups. In a preferred embodiment, TDI is used as the partly slower-reacting diisocyanate while MDI is used as the faster-reacting diisocyanate. The prepolymer is produced in two stages. The prepolymer according to the invention is suitable for bonding plastic articles, metals and paper, especially films. The accelerated absence of migration is particularly noticeable in this regard.
