摘要： The present disclosure relates to a single shell open interstage reactor (“SSOI”). The SSOI comprises a first reaction stage, an interstage heat exchanger, an open interstage region, and a second reaction stage. The SSOI may be configured for upflow or downflow operation. Further, the open interstage region of the SSOI may comprise a supplemental oxidant feed. When the open interstage region comprises a supplemental oxidant feed, the SSOI may further comprise a supplemental oxidant mixing assembly. Processes for producing acrylic acid through the oxidation of propylene are also disclosed.

摘要： A device for converting biomass with a water content of at least 50% to gaseous products includes a reactor filled at least partially with a packing including at least one filler body for accommodating supercritical water and a hydrothermal molten salt. A heater is arranged to heat up the reactor and its content. A first feeding pipe is coupled to the reactor to feed water and salt solution into the reactor. A second feeding pipe is coupled to the reactor to feed to biomass into the reactor. A discharge pipe is coupled to the reactor to discharge gaseous products from the reactor. An outlet is proved in the bottom of the reactor for removing portions of the molten salt.

摘要： The packing of the present invention is a continuous coil which has at least three turns, and preferably about six turns. Each turn has at least three sides which preferably are generally curved and has a generally rounded vertex between each pair of adjacent sides. Each turn of the packing is rotatably offset at least about 15.degree., and preferably between about 15.degree. and 20.degree., relative to each adjacent turn of the packing. The coil packing preferably is generally cylindrical in cross-section, and defines a generally cylindrical passage which extends axially through the coil packing. The coil packing is suitable for use in columns or towers for absorption, adsorption or rectification.
