    • A reader and method for adjusting the transmission time of a continuous wave (CW), wherein the method comprises setting an initial value for a response waiting time, sending the CW to a tag after sending a command to the tag and waiting for a response from the tag, judging whether the response from the tag is received within the response waiting time. If the response from the tag is received within the response waiting time, then sending of the CW is stopped and the response waiting time is adjusted. If the response from the tag is still not received beyond the response waiting time, then sending of the CW is stopped. The time for the reader to wait for a response from the tag is far less than 20 ms. Consequently, a command failure can be found early, so as to improve the processing efficiency of an RFID system.

    • To overcome the drawback of difficulties when interchanging a patient's health record among different health information management systems and yet keep the patient's privacy, this invention proposes a method comprising the steps of: extracting, from a certificate, a signature of a first service provider and a first identifier; generating a second identifier corresponding to the first identifier; sending a request to any one of a second identifier manager and the first service provider so as to request a record associated with the first identifier; receiving the requested record from any one of the second identifier manager and the first service provider; and associating the requested record with the second identifier. Use of the proposed method provides the advantage that there is no need to unify all health information management systems adopting the same pseudonymization service, and makes it easy to share health information among different health information management systems without disclosing the patient's privacy.

    • A method and apparatus for QR-factorizing matrix on a multiprocessor system, wherein the multiprocessor system comprises at least one core processor and a plurality of accelerators, comprises the steps of: iteratively factorizing each panel in the matrix until the whole matrix is factorized; wherein in each iteration, the method comprises: partitioning an unprocessed matrix part in the matrix into a plurality of blocks according to a predetermined block size; partitioning a current processed panel in the unprocessed matrix part into at least two sub panels, wherein the current processed panel is composed of a plurality of blocks; and performing QR factorization one by one on the at least two sub panels with the plurality of accelerators, and updating the data of the sub panel(s) on which no QR factorization has been performed among the at least two sub panels by using the factorization result.

    • A method for data verification may include: receiving by a radio frequency identification (RFID) tag a write command including data to be written; writing by said RFID tag said data to be written into a local storage; reading by said RFID tag data from said local storage; and carrying out by said RFID tag a data verification according to said data read out. Further, a data verification apparatus may include a receiving module for receiving a write command including data to be written; a writing module for writing said data to be written into a first storage module configured for storing said data to be written; a reading module for reading data from said first storage module; and a verifying module for carrying out verification according to the data read out by said reading module. Such method and apparatus may reduce the time of data verification by an RFID tag.
