    • Disclosed herein is a headlight of double beam type, which comprises a lamp body having one end closed and the other end open; means defining in a given part of the closed end of the lamp body an aperture; a lens covering the open end of the lamp body; an upper beam projecting unit including a first concave light reflective integrally formed on a part of an inner surface of the closed end of the lamp body, and a first light source installed at a center portion of the first concave light reflector; and a lower beam projecting unit including a condensing lens installed in the lamp body at a position facing the aperture, a second concave light reflector detachably connected to the outside of the lamp body in a manner to face the aperture, and a second light source installed at a center portion of the second concave light reflector.

    • A process for producing foamed particles of a polyolefin resin which comprises dispersing polyolefin resin particles in water in a closed vessel, feeding a volatile blowing agent into the closed vessel, heating the dispersion to a temperature above the softening point of the polyolefin resin particles but below their melting point, opening a discharge port provided within the closed vessel below the water surface and releasing the aqueous dispersion containing the polyolefin resin particles impregnated with the blowing agent into an atmosphere kept at a lower pressure than the pressure within the closed vessel; wherein(i) when the last portion of the aqueous dispersion containing the polyolefin resin particles impregnated with the blowing agent is released from the closed vessel, the pressure within the closed vessel is at least 5 kg/cm.sup.2.G, and(ii) in order to maintain the pressure within the closed vessel at the time of releasing the last portion of the aqueous dispersion from the closed vessel at at least 5 kg/cm.sup.2.G, a pressurized inorganic gas is introduced into the closed vessel before the heating of the aqueous dispersion is started, provided that the inorganic gas is not freshly supplied to the closed vessel after starting the releasing of the aqueous dispersion.

    • In order to perform processing of analyzing card data in an appropriate amount of time depending on the number of tracks actually present on a magnetic stripe with use of a single demodulation circuit, the single demodulation circuit produces, based on magnetic data read by a magnetic head, a single common card running signal obtained by ORing card running signals of tracks present on the magnetic stripe of the magnetic card, a clock signal of each track present on the magnetic stripe, and a data signal of each track present on the magnetic stripe. A card running signal generation circuit generates, based on the common card running signal and the clock signal of each track, an individual card running signal of each track present on the magnetic stripe. A data analysis processing unit determines, based on presence or absence of the individual card running signal, presence or absence of a track on the magnetic stripe to perform processing of analyzing the data signal only for the track determined to be present on the magnetic stripe.
