    • A brake control apparatus has wheel cylinders, hydraulic pressure supply sources pressurizing an inside of the wheel cylinder, control valves performing a pressure-raising/reducing control of the inside of the wheel cylinder, and at least two actuator units grouped according to a diagonal wheel cylinder system or a fore-and-aft wheel cylinder system, one of which has a main control section and the other of which has a sub control section. Both the control sections control the plurality of hydraulic pressure supply sources and the control valves based on a vehicle status amount input to both the control sections via communication lines. When the actuator unit in which the main control section is included becomes abnormal, the sub control section drives the hydraulic pressure supply source and the control valves belonging to the actuator unit of the sub control section and controls the internal pressures of the wheel cylinders.

    • A brake control apparatus includes an actuator configured to generate a braking force of road wheel; a first control unit configured to calculate a target braking controlled variable in accordance with an amount of brake manipulation of a driver; and a second control unit including a backup calculation section configured to calculate a backup target braking controlled variable, by receiving the amount of brake manipulation separately from the first control unit. The second control unit selects one of the target braking controlled variable and the backup target braking controlled variable in accordance with operating conditions of the first control unit and the second control unit. The second control unit outputs a drive signal to the actuator so as to bring the braking force of road wheel closer to the selected one of the target braking controlled variable and the backup target braking controlled variable.

    • A motor controlling device for mounting on a vehicle, which includes a controller capable of controlling a DC brushless motor at high response and high accuracy. The motor controlling device for mounting on the vehicle to drive the DC brushless motor comprises a main control section (120) for calculating a torque command for the motor, and a current control calculation section (140) constituted by a module or a dedicated LSI independent of the main control section (120). The current control calculation section (140) converts the coordinates of a current of the DC brushless motor into a d-axis direction, i.e., a direction of magnetic flux of a motor rotor, and into a q-axis direction orthogonal to the d-axis direction, and feedback-controls a current in the d-axis direction and a current in the q-axis direction separately.
