摘要： A method and an apparatus for identifying a base station in a wireless communication system are provided. The method includes storing a Neighbor Cell List (NCL) received from a serving base station, obtaining a Physical Cell IDentifier (PCID) from a signal received from a neighbor base station, and identifying whether the neighbor base station is a macro base station or a femto base station by determining whether the obtained PCID exists in the stored NCL.

摘要： Disclosed is a system and method for transmitting/receiving a signal in a communication system. In the system and method, a base station transmits data to a first relay station, which is connected directly thereto from among relay stations belonging to a first relay station group, through a first frame interval, and transmits data to a second relay station, which is connected directly thereto from among relay stations belonging to a second relay station group, through a second frame interval subsequent to the first frame interval. In the first frame interval or the second frame interval where no data is received from the base station, each of the first and second relay stations transmits data to a next relay station connected directly thereto within the same relay station group, and communicates data with a mobile station in direct communication therewith.

Calculated are an average noise power using a CP of an RX signal, a signal power of a serving segment, an average power of the serving segment, and an interference power of the serving segment, an average power of each interference segment, and an interference power of each interference segment using the difference between the calculated average noise power and the calculated average power. An SINR of the RX signal is calculated by dividing the calculated signal power of the serving segment by the sum of the calculated average noise power and the total interference power of all the segments.

摘要： A method and apparatus for detecting a free page of a memory device, and a method and apparatus for decoding an error correction code by using the method and apparatus for detecting a free page are provided. Free page data read from the memory is converted into a converted codeword for inclusion as an element of an error correction code field. The converted codeword is compared to an initially set target codeword to detect an amount of non-identical bits. A page read from the memory is determined to be a free page when the amount of non-identical bits is equal to or less than an initially set threshold value.

摘要： A method and an apparatus for transmitting and receiving System Information (SI) of a femto base station in a wireless communication system are provided. In the method, an SI transmission point is determined using unique identification information of a femto base station itself and unique identification information of a macro base station with which the femto base station is associated. Each of user equipment and the macro base station generate a measurement gap pattern representing an SI reception point using the unique identification information of the femto base station and the unique identification information of the macro base station. SI is received from the femto base station according to the generated measurement gap pattern.

摘要： An apparatus and method for lowering a tree searching complexity in a Spatial Multiplexing (SM) Multiple Input Multiple Output (MIMO) antenna system are provided. A transmitting apparatus includes a generator for generating a plurality of transmit streams by spatial-multiplexing a transmit data, a determiner for determining modulation schemes to be applied to the plurality of the transmit streams respectively and a modulator for modulating the plurality of the transmit streams using at least two modulation schemes under control of the determiner. The receiver detects the signals by allocating the modulation scheme of the lowest order to the upper tree level.
