The present honeycomb structure body contains refractory grains such as silicon carbide grains and the like, but it can be produced at a relatively low firing temperature at a low price, it is sufficiently porous and high in specific surface area, and it can be used as a filter for purifying automobile exhaust gas, a catalyst carrier, and the like under the high SV conditions.

The honeycomb structure contains refractory particles such as silicon carbide particles and the like and yet can be produced at a relatively low firing temperature at a low cost, has a high strength and a high thermal shock resistance, and can be suitably used, for example, as a filter for purification of automobile exhaust gas by a treatment such as plugging of through-channel at its inlet or outlet, or as a catalyst carrier, even under a high SV condition.

An AC voltage is applied to the electrodes to preheat the conductive ink and prevent electrolysis of the conductive ink. A DC voltage is applied to the electrodes after the ink has been preheated to evaporate the conductive ink so that the increase in ink volume jets the conductive ink from the nozzle. The AC voltage is applied within a frequency range especially effective to suppress electrolysis of the conductive ink.

摘要： An image forming apparatus includes an image forming unit, a fixing unit, and a power control unit. The image forming unit forms an unfixed image on a recording material. The fixing unit includes an endless belt, a heater held in contact with the endless belt, a pressurization roller to form a fixing nip portion for pinching and conveying the recording material together with the heater via the endless belt, and a pressure changing mechanism to effect switching between a pressurization state and a pressure release state. The power control unit controls power to the heater. In response to transitioning from the pressure release state to the pressurization state, the power control unit starts power to the heater during a transition period before the pressurization state is attained and controls power to the heater such that a heater temperature does not exceed a predetermined upper limit temperature during the transition period.
