    • A substantially flat type liquid fuel burner apparatus comprising a chamber for gasifying liquid fuel, a second chamber above the gasifying chamber for mixing the gasified fuel with an amount of air, and a combustion zone above the mixing chamber into which the gaseous mixture and an additional amount of air are introduced for the complete combustion of the gasified fuel. The air supplied to the gasifying chamber is limited to such an amount to burn only a part of the liquid fuel fed to the gasifying chamber so as to heat a heating element disposed therein. The heated heating element is operative to pyrolyze the remaining part of the fuel into gasified fuel to thereby facilitate blue flame complete combustion of the fuel in the combustion zone.

    • A modular wick holder includes a first wick holder assembly and a second wick holder assembly joined together. The first and second wick holder assemblies are disposed symmetrical to each other. The first wick holder assembly includes a first projection, and the second wick holder assembly includes a second projection opposite and corresponding to the first projection. The first and second projections delimit a space therebetween. When the modular wick holder combines with a wick, the wick is securely held by the space. At least one adjusting member inserts through the first and second wick holder assemblies and is operable to move the first and second projections closer and to have the space include a reduced size.

The oil burner includes a solenoid valve mechanism having a wiring of allowing the supply of a fuel oil to an oil supply pipe to be stopped upon a power stoppage, an air damper actuated in cooperation with a mechanism for changing the flow rate of a fuel oil supplied to the oil supply pipe, a solenoid connected to the air damper which has a wiring of allowing the air damper to be opened upon a power stoppage, and an air fan rotated due to inertia force upon a power stoppage.
